Each model in the Possessed unit counts as Personal Icon for the purposes of summoning Daemons.

Sonic Weapons
Draw a line from each model with a sonic weapon the length of its range towards the target. Every unit crossed by that line suffers 1D6 SX hits. The Strength of the hits are equal to the total Strength of the weapons from which the lines are drawn. Cover saves are ignored.

Nice idea for a non randomised, fluffy rule set for possessed. I’ve never thought of linking possessed abilities to the god specific daemons before and the more I think about it, the more it can work.

My only criticism at this stage is that the Tzeentch possessed seem a little powerful for their point cost. 35 points per model would net you a nice assault unit with a 4++ save, force weapons and a pretty good AP3 shooting attack and that combo seem considerably more powerful than the other choices. I’m thinking perhaps ditching the psyker + force weapon + doombolt combo in favour of perhaps giving the unit the same shooting attack as pink horrors or flamers.

This would maintain the theme of units gaining the same abilities as the equivalent lesser daemon, making the unit operate as marine lesser daemon hybrids. See my diagram below.

Undivided -> Unit is possessed by Furies and gains similar abilities
Tzeentch -> Unit is possessed by Pink Horrors/Flamers and gains similar abilities
Khorne -> Unit is possessed by Bloodletters and gains similar abilities
Nurgle -> Unit is possessed by Plague Bearers and gains similar abilities
Slaanesh -> Unit is possessed by Daemonettes and gains similar abilities

I don’t have my copy of Codex Daemons on me at the moment (as I am currently at work). When I get home in a few hours, I will read through it and give you some more feedback.

Yeah, Doombolt is the Chaos Space Marine equivalent to Daemonic Gaze. The difference being that psychic defense can really shut psykers down, so they get the Force Weapon upgrade so that they aren't ignored in favour of the other gods.

I thought about giving them the option of the Wind of Chaos and Bolt of Change psychic powers, but I figure Doombolt is the one that Horrors get and Bolt of Change would be too good. Maybe the option of Wind of Chaos and Bolt of Change for 10pts each.

Otherwise I followed the recommendations you've given, giving each Power its floor of possession-related rules, and then the options to increase or decrease the severity of the possession to be more like the Cult Troops of their Power.

I suppose that the Possessed of Slaanesh should also have the Grenades of Slaanesh (name escapes me at the moment), and the Plague Marine defensive grenades can be replaced with the Cloud of Flies daemonic gift.

While Khorne, Slaanesh, and Nurgle Possessed would have the appropriate daemonic gift to mix with their otherwise Cult marine rules, the Tzeentch would have the pile of bonuses that come with the Mark of Tzeentch, including being able to cast two psychic powers a turn.

I did some quick research in my copy of the Daemons codex. Pink Horrors get the warpfire power (18", Str4, Ap4, assault 3) and Flamers get warpfire and Breath of Chaos (which is similar to winds of chaos). Shooting attacks in the daemon's codex do not count as psychic powers and thus not affected by psychic defense (and some of the junk in the DH codex lol). Pink Horrors are pretty plain now that I look a their profile as they only have 1 ability so the possessed will need to be provided another ability to even them out. One upgrade worth mentioning called "We are legion" which allows the unit to target more than one enemy when shooting. There is another called "master of sorcery" which allows the unit to shoot twice (not the same shooting attack though).

The name of the slaanesh ability is called "Aura of Acquiesce"
