Change that Reclusiarch to a librarian with Shield of sangunius and Unleached rage.

That gives you psy defence and preferred enemy every turn ure locked in combat.

Then you have 30 points so you can beef that vanguard with 2xPw

Just a few things I was pondering:

What's the furioso doing podding in alone?

Assault squads should be all meltagun, you're light on antitank already.

Riflemen are good.

Reclusiarch would be better as a lib, you get psy def, if you want rerolls pick up unleash rage.

What are the vanguards meant to do? What role do they fulfil here that the army otherwise lacks?

most lists will just eat this up, A you reserve and come in piecemeal, B you reserve the jump and your dreads get eaten up. C you deploy bot and hope the opponent misses

If you take 1-2 Libbys it can give you the 5+ cover

I'm aware of what DoA is ... however dreadnoughts which compose alot of his army don't have it ...

There are two pods, so I can delay the Furioso so that he is not on his own.

The librarian switch makes a lot of sense, I just love the Reclusiarch fluff wise, and I love using the old Lemartes model. But who can say no to more power weapons in the vanguard?!

I kept the flamers because most of the players here are light vehicles with armor 12. Sometimes there is a predator or vindicator but mostly there are a million small transports. So the rifleman can take shots at those and flamers are great for dropping in on nids, which are always around...

I'll be trying this out this weekend and I'll let you know
