Shrike gives the Termies Fleet. Calgar is there to add some CC punch, you could use something else, but he's the best. Scouts get objectives and Speeders and Preds kill tanks. Overall, I like this. Maybe not optimal, but fun.

It is very good! I heard of this 20 year vet at the LFGS who runs all scouts a libby and some termies. With land speeders! He wins all the time just camo clokes snipers. Anyway back to the list I think get rid of the heavy bolters. And get locator beacons incase you want to switch around with your deployment! Maybe instead of calgar you get a captin like this Artificer armor Relic Blade (or two lightning claws) thats how my kick-a captins roll (:

I love your idea.

I think you were on the right track with the first list. Scouts with cloaks can go to ground and get a 2+ in cover, that means you have to assault them, and that makes getting them off objectives after you've ruined your enemy's mech with the preds and speeders a very time consuming chore.

Plus 20 termies is so much overkill it is not even funny...

Calgar is very expensive, so you could down grade him and use those points for more scouts even...

Awesome list!

Lost in the Warp....

Also on your second list you should have camo clokes! Also make those 5 man squads ten man squads! You can use combat squads if you need 5 man squads for objectives. Also I think for this list to work you need a few more sniper squads!

Same list, different army

How would this deal with DE and the mass wall of av11 with a ton of lances? Also, IG with tons of tanks (7 chimeras, 3+ russ, etc...) or Mechdar? I like your list, I saw it and started to think I may put it together myself, but I just thought of 3 of my main opponents...

I would swap Calgar for Lysander. For one - because he's a gooch. Secondly, Lysander is cheaper and better

Lances don't pose much threat to Terminators, since you still get your 2+ save. I agree fast mech lists like DE and Eldar could be a pain, I'm sure some good tactics could be used to win. IG mech wouldn't be as bad.

I agree on taking 2x 10 scouts with ML and 9 snipers. You can combat squad them in objective games or keep them as 1 unit in KP missions! They need cloaks though

I also like Lysander and 1 squad of 10 termies being shooty instead of all TH/SS then take a Terminator Libby with the 10 strong TH/SS unit just give 3 of em dual LC for some swings at iniative!

just my .02

Good trades: 8!!

Dark Lances are Ap 2.......

Although storm shields would certainly help out.

Lysander also has bolster defenses that will help your scouts.

Burna boyz... lol.

As for the list:

The meat of the list is the terminators, but you need more of them if you're gonna spam them like this. At 2000pts you should have at least 20 THSS, preferably 25. You could even fit in 30 if you wanted.

hmmm, could have sworn they were ap3. Oh well. I still think it could do fine, as long as the predators and Scouts can provide cover fire as necessary.

I don't think AT fire is a problem. You have six lascannons on the Preds (for big armor) and six autocannon shots (for little armor). Plus the Thunder Hammers can muff up armor, and the Snipers can stun tanks, which is sometimes enough. And MM Land Speeders, do I even need to comment on those?
I really like this list. I think if you brought this, it could really throw opponents off by the sheer audacity of it.
