hi all here is the current state of my space wolf army.
so far pretty much finished Rhino, 2 Drop pods, iron priest on thunderwolf mount, wolf lord on mount, wolf guard battle leader on mount and 1 thunderwolf cavalry.
still alot to do on 10 scouts and 20 grey hunters.
and after christmas should have 14 thunderwolf cavalry to do and 2 more drop pods.
what do you all think so far????

That is a uncommon tone of grey for the wolves...almost blue. Are you working with shadow grey? I like the riders, naturally. My only criticism is on the insignia atop the rhino, it looks fantastic, except the paint looks a little thick and rough. nice works so far though, look foward to more updates!

its a 50/50 mix of ice blue and shadow grey with an asurman blue wash. i love the effect the wash gives it darkens it up nicely so the armour looks stylish rather than cartoony.
The roughness on the rhino was because it was a rescue piece i got on ebay. up close i think it kinda works but certainly know what you mean. luckily its not in any of my lists i just like doing a centre piece for my armies for display purposes.

Amazing work, Fox. I think that symbol on the Rhino is frigging' incredible! Where did you get the actual wolves for the riders?

hi all here are the latest pics of the army.
i am converting over my ultramarine vehicles so i have put them in but they need repainting.
i have assembled all of my thunderwolf cavalry and primed them. the bodies are pinned on so that i can swap weapon load outs when i change my lists.
i also have an assembled and primed canis wolfborn in there.
also the termies are magnetised for weapon load out changes

and not a single long fang in site.....

Cant wait to face this uprgaded army list soon Fox, my chaos boys just picked up a shinny new Thunderhawk for this battle. P.S. I love the cleverly disguised Leviathian that looks like a toaster lol.

How many points does the toaster cost?

toaster is a cleverly disguised space wolf fortress of redemption it can launch 2 six inch square dough templates a staggering 2 inches in the air and also sends out clouds of burnt smelling smoke on command. still working on the rules but im guessing 250 points as its av 14 on all tides. lol

I dub thee "Ultrawolves"!

The symbol on the rhino instantly made me think of Thundercats, win.
