Looks like a lashwhip made with a length of putty, a ripper head and some sort of claw.

That's exactly it, I have no idea what color to paint the whip though

I took extra carapace plating and glued it to his face to make a mask.

ARGH, I wish I had pictures!

Horns you can make by just snipping off the ends of scything talons, the plates were some extra bits, don't know what kit it came from.
