Yeah. It would be fun, right up till the point were the enemy attacks back. Swap out Orion for the twin sisters on the dragon and it would be even more fun.

I was thinking of making them into a chaos wood elf army. I could use my vermin lord or demon prince as Orion. I could put the wild riders on these giant lizards instead of horses (then I would have a use for my 20 cold one knights ) I have plenty of converted dark riders I could try to convert back to get enough cavalry to field this list. It would be fast.

FYI Do you know if you put the stag in the Wild riders they lose their advance move?

Yea. I was planning on putting all the characters in the 5 wild rider unit and the BSB in the 5 glade rider unit.

That is going to make them very vulnerable to shooting.

Not sure how it would make them any more vulnerable than normal. There are two 20 rider units that will have the vanguard move which should mess with the enemy's shooting. Also the character group with wild riders will still have a 5+ ward vs. shooting.

I think he meant it'd make them vulnerable to having no "Look out, sir!" if you lose one glade rider model.

Hmm... honestly, to do all cav I'd go crazy modelling and do "counts as" Brettonians... they're the only all-cav armies I'm seeing as being viable these days!

I faced all-cav Empire recently with my WoC... draw due to a strange mission, but the Empire did not perform well (the only non-cav unit, a steam tank, contested the center for a draw, while the rest was dead or fleeing).

Wood elves I don't see doing much better... but it would be such a sight to behold!!

Oh yea. I didn't even think about the "look out, sir!" save. I am not even sure about the exact rules for it. I was thinking Orion and the stag couldn't get that save anyway since they are different base sizes. The spellsinger could still get one since there are still 5 rank and file members in the unit. I should probably take out the horsemaster though. I was thinking he could take a challenge, but I think I would have already made a mistake if they are even in cc. I will just have 6 glade riders instead of 5 and the horsemaster.

I really don't think they would be too competitive in fair fights, but figure I could pick my fights. The two main units are fast cavalry and if necessary I could use both to charge into flanks of one unit. My character unit is still fast enough to be charging 2nd turn. I was planning on keeping the BSB unit just close enough for the banner to work, maybe hiding out in some woods. The list is more for fun then competitiveness.

Oof, you are right! They only get it from a unit that is the same unit type as they are.

If you already had these models, it would be fun to try a couple times, but if you had to assemble and paint them to get there, I think this would mostly be a disappointment as far as battlefield effectiveness goes. Still, I like the idea...

Well I think that list looks like a lot of fun, being fast is always fun.

I think in a list like this you need to kill the BSB and General as fast as possible. SO as much as I love the dawnspear, I think you might be better served with the Spear of Twilight and HoTH. +1A whether charging or charged combines well with killing blow and +1AS is never bad with wood elves.

If you want your spellsinger to get out of the way sir, you would need to get her off of the unicorn and on to a horse methinks.

Too bad the BSB cannot take the Wild Rider Kindred, would really suit the army.

Your conversion idea sounds sexy too.
