My only critique would be that I'd lower the cannons, and cut square holes in the side armor, and poke the cannon muzzles through the holes, as they do on ships.

I love the concept and so far, the execution. I look forward to grots climbing rigging.

Where did you get those sweet treads from?

Looks pretty sweet. You going to put a big sail on it though? An Orky Skull an' Krossbones would look good.

Haha that's friggin' amazing man! Totally love it! Maybe you could add some ropes from the mast to the deck, like the nets pirates use to climb in the sails.

That's ace, excellent painting and konversions on the crew too. Any boarding plank plans? Seems a no-brainer. Maybe an anchor somewhere as well.

Do you intend to have a cross mast for the sail? Well, will there be a sail? I assume so. Or do you plan to have the sale set like a DE raider?
Regardless, I like where it's going.

Looking good! I would integrate the chassis and the hull a bit more, but I really like the general look of the model. Definitely needs boarding planks though

Thats really cool! All it needs now is grots on the rigging, and maybe a seasick one too! Orks always have these little dioramas on their models! Good luck with it, and nice conversion!

Really nice work, I especially like the mast idea.

I might nab that for mine, as I'm taking a Pirate themed Battlewagon to the Doubles tourny in Feb.

Although as Mine has a Deathrolla, my front is going to have be curved up more than this one.

It's really looking good so far though kaiservonhugal, the crew are equally great.

Can't wait to see more.

If one can be found in the right pose, that's a really great idea.

That's excellent dude, creative and well done. Can't wait to see more. Have you considered the bases? These would probably fit pretty well;

Those bases are super cool! Thanks for pointing them out to me.

Do you think it really needs a mast with sails? Just wondering. I have bit ordered some Dark Eldar Sails - if they dont look right Im keeping it sailess.

oh - I added the boarding planks

No prob on the bases. I'm assuming you are aware of the maxmini orc boy heads (It appears you've used them on your warboss)...but they have regular Orc pirate heads too;

http://www.maxmini.eu/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=12&products_id=70

I definitely think the mast is necessary, it completes the theme. i would even add a little pendant/sail to the top as well. Don't make it look functional (as in a full sail), I think that would be silly. But something just to "Fly the colors" so to speak....so the humies knoz whoz knockin da headz in!

(That's my best Ork lingo, suck it up)

I agree. And a grot in a crow's nest atop the mast I think is more necessary than an actual sail

I have the mast and crows nest already modeled on it- i added pics to the original post. I guess Im finding it hard to find room to add sails - sails is what Im asking really. The mast is there but are sails needed?

Im going to add a smaller mast up from off the prow.

Adding a banner with a Jooly Ork on it will be added later on the center mast.

Would you rather see the cannon up front on the prow or another smaller mast up front?
