Hello all,
I have been thinking of making this list for some time now (well since storm of Chaos that is), and I now have time to work on it. It is a WOC list and I will be using a few dark elf models in it (mainly characters and one of the marauder units for now).
Lords:
- Sorcerer Lord lvl.4 (Using Morathi model sans pegasus wings) 404 pts
w/ MoS, Infernal puppet, Third Eye of Tzeentch, Talisman of Preservation, Barded Chaos Steed
Heroes:
- Exalted Hero (BSB, converted from a plastic dark elf warrior) 239 pts
w/ MoS, Halberd, Doom Totem, Bloodcurdling Roar
Core:
- 40 Marauders 230 pts
w/ MoS, Great Weapons, Full Command
- 32 Marauders 222 pts
w/ MoS, Light Armour, Shields, Full Command
- 24 Warriors 448 pts
w/ MoS, Halberds, Shields, Full Command
Special:
- 10 Knights 475 pts
w/ MoS, Standard, Musician, Banner of Rage
- 4 Trolls 180 pts
- 3 Ogers 155 pts
w/ MoS, Great Weapons, Musician
Rare:
- War shrine MoS 140 pts
Total: 2493 pts
The strategy will be to form a battle line with the warrior in the middle flanked be marauders, which are flanked by the monsters and have the knights on the far out wing with the war shrine behind the warriors for support. The characters will probably go in the marauder blocks.
The list is manly based around the units that I have already converted (Ogers, Trolls, and Characters) plus 2 battalion boxes (which are on their way right now).
I'm not to sold on the big unit of knights because they are very expensive (points wise), but I think that the models look really cool and I want to use them for that reason.
I really want to know how effective this list would be. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, but I would still like to keep the theme of the army in line.
I also want to run this list because I find the usual chaos builds around all seem to look the same.

The knights would work better as 2 units of 5. You pay way to many points for 1 attack each from the 2nd rank, and the loss of a single knight prevents you from stripping ranks.
I'd consider running it as a steed of slaanesh, and picking up a unit of ~10 chaos hounds for the Look Out Sir. (the steed is a beast, so are the hounds).
The other problem I see is the further from the center you get, the more you need the generals leadership and BSB. With trolls and ogres out on the flanks, you're stretching yourself pretty thin on the outside.
I'd dig up 5 points for the charmed shield for the general, and a normal shield (instead of halberd) for the BSB.
For a themed list, it's pretty solid.

Ok I did some changes. I droped the Knights down to 5 (only with a Musician now) and added a unit of 20 hounds (big meat shield for the sorcerer lord and added a lvl 1 sorcerer of slaanesh with a dispel scroll and the spellshield from the BRB (shield w/ MR1).
So it looks something like this now.
Lords:
- Sorcerer Lord lvl.4 410 pts
w/ MoS, Infernal puppet, Third Eye of Tzeentch, Talisman of Preservation, Steed of Slaanesh, Charmed Shield.
Heroes:
- Exalted Hero BSB 240 pts
w/ MoS, Shield, Doom Totem, Bloodcurdling Roar
- Chaos Sorcerer lvl. 1 135 pts
w/ Mark of Slaanesh, Dispel Scroll, Spellshield
Core:
- 40 Marauders 230 pts
w/ MoS, Great Weapons, Full Command
- 32 Marauders 222 pts
w/ MoS, Light Armour, Shields, Full Command
- 24 Warriors 448 pts
w/ MoS, Halberds, Shields, Full Command
- 20 Warhounds 120 pts
Special:
- 5 Knights 220 pts
w/ MoS, Musician,
- 4 Trolls 180 pts
- 3 Ogers 155 pts
w/ MoS, Great Weapons, Musician
Rare:
- War shrine MoS 140 pts
Total: 2500 pts

I think you might be able to drop the trolls or the ogres to bulk out your other units; you've got plenty of hard-hitting stuff in here.
Maybe a phallic Hell Cannon, going with the theme.

That's an interesting idea, but I really wanted to use the Trolls and Ogres because I have already converted them to use for Beastmen way back in the day and I still want to use them.
Also, I don't really see how a phallic hell cannon would fit my theme though as I am trying to run my list as close as I can to the cult of Slaanesh army from the storm of chaos campaign.

A themed Slaanesh warrior army? You're getting a big from me, way to be - and FWIW I think there's a lot of mileage to be gotten out of the Lore of Slaanesh, though it's not the no-brainer style of magic that people seem to like in 8th. Though slamming six dice into spasms is still awesome vs all of those big blocks

Three solid suggestions there - steed of slaanesh, charmed shield, BSB shield. I'm not much of a fan of doom totem but I understand that it will be working in concert with your Slaanesh spells to help them work better, so I suppose I'll keep it down.
On the warhounds though, the general actually shouldn't get a LOS! from them, for she's a cavalry model whether on a slaaneshi or barded steed, while they are warbeasts. They can still sop incoming small arms fire for her, but then any of those other units would do the same. She'll have to rely on her charmed shield & 4+ ward for artillery protection. Me, I'd keep 2x 5 warhounds and put the other points into the knights or the MI.
Speaking of MI, I think I would combine the trolls and the ogres to make a more fearsome unit, or at the least find the points for another ogre. 9 gw attaks doesn't do much for me, though I suppose you could manage them carefully and grab flanks? Another benefit of 4 gw ogres is you can run them 2x2 for a tighter frontage and ease of flanking, with just the 2 stomps lost.

Thank you for your kudos kind sir, and for the positive comments. But, doesn't the sorcerer lord become a warbeast when mounted on the steed of Slaanseh? The BRB says that the steed is a warbeast, so shouldn't she get the look out sir rule. Or am I just confused on something?
Also I wanted to take the doom totem because it made my psychological spells more effective and because I thought that it would level the playing field a bit more as most armies I would be facing would have a ld 9 or 10 general while mine is only ld 8. But, after a few games I may change this depending on how effective it is.

Naw, p.84 tells us that when warbeasts are used as character mounts they count as cavalry. Now marauder horsemen would give her a LOS! roll, as well as also being fast cav and allowing her to vanguard move with them. The 120 points for warhounds, with an extra 7 points, buys you 9 marauder cav with MoS to do exactly what the warhounds were going to do - i.e. be shot / magicked - except with a 6+ armor, more attaks, a mark, a vanguard move, a LOS! roll, etc. Not the best buy but honestly your warhound escort didn't appear to have much function in your battle plan.
