A GAU8 Avenger would probably work well.

I fixed your title.

We could also move this thread to the Spaceship, Driving, Naval & Mech Games forum, which is where Dark Future stuff goes.

Find some Mechwarrior: Dark Age tanks and start cutting guns off.

When we were making Dark Future cars (ages ago) we always just used random toy guns from cheapo scifi toys we had lying around, if you don't have those I'd say hit up the post xmas bargain toy bins particularly at places like drug stores and the like who often have really cheap toys.

I think a good source for guns is the ZOIDS line of toys. They are more or less the right scale for it.

this one has lots of cool bits.

The minis and in house rules are not to shabby either

Awesome, a dark future player!

I say you should try using 1:72 scaled weapons?

1:72 weapons will work, problem is getting enough of what you need for your conversion work.

However, you can also get great effects without parting with too much cash.

Try extra armour plate made of any scraps of plastic card you have, mesh is available at most DIy stores as is a variety of narrow brass tubing which is ideal for gun barrels, rocket tubes etc.

Check out discount stores for bags of green army men, ofter they come with non descript tanks that beg to be recycled into your Mad Max creations
