Subject: 2,000 Warriors of Chaos Army (Suggestions Please!)

I've played only about 7 games or so for Fantasy, but I think here's the army I'm aiming to run:
Sorcerer Lord: 305
-Level 4
-Spell Familiar
-Blood Curdling Roar
Wulfrik the Wanderer: 185
Chaos Sorcerer: 155
-Level 2
-Spell Familiar
-Nurgle
20 Warriors: 400
-Tzeentch
-Shield
-Musician / Champion / Standard Upgrades (Blasted Standard)
30 Marauders: 200
-Flails
-Musician / Champion / Standard Upgrades
10 Chosen: 220
-Halberds
-Khorne
5 Chaos Knights: 200
Hellcannon: 205
Warshrine: 130
I think the Sorcerer Lord will probably use one of the default lores, then I have the Chaos Sorcerer for Nurgle spells and Wulfrik to come in from Reserves with his horde of 30 Marauders ideally directly behind enemies, I think.
The Tzeentch Warriors are pretty tanky, and can still pack a brutal punch. The Chosen are the serious heavy hitters in the army though, of course, with the Knights leading them all in the front to get in there and lock down the enemy's ranged, I think. Hellcannon of course for more ranged support, and then the Warshrine to even further to buff out my guys- probably the knights as the lead the advance early game, then shift over to Wulfrik / the Chosen depending on whose in range and doing well.
Opinions/Suggestions/Comments? And I'm pretty against the idea of Marauder spam, I hate painting them, and I hate cheat dinky unit spam, unless you're playing Skaven or some 'real' swarm army.

You can only have one spell familiar. Whats you local meta game like, because if the majority of you foes are init 4 or higher then go with great weapons on the marauders. I personally prefer festus over wulfrik but thats just a matter of taste. I would also recommend shadow for your big wizard. I'll you with a very fun spell combo, use shadow to drop an enemy units str or toughness to 1, then cast curse of the leper and kill the whole unit. (one of the reason i like festus)

One can be, "Da Fist uv Mork" and the second can be, "Da Uvver Fist uv Mork."
Make a third, and it can be, "Da Uvver Uvver Fist uv Mork"

Honestly, I don't like the sounds of Festus at all. Especially since I mostly play against a Skaven player, the shorter pursuit distance would definitely seal the deal with his Scurry Away special rule.
On the contrary, Wulfrik comes in from reserves behind enemy lines, charges from the rear and puts it in their pooper.
And when you say only 1 familiar, 1 familar per army? And I remember death / shadow looking kind of lackluster, I was planning on going Fire but I don't know.

Only one spell familiar, you could have one spell and one power though. Like I said fetus is a matter of taste, I rather like giving a unit of 40 lumberjack marauders Regen and poison 5o str 5 poison just obliterates things. I would definitely go with great weapons for the marauders since most skaven are init 4 or higher

Holy unprotected level 4, Batman! Taking that second caster instead of a BSB seems like a bad idea to me as well, but perhaps you haven't been having LD issues? Lucky All the same, I busted out the hedge-trimmer and found the points to keep your level 4 in the game: L: Sorcerer Lord - level 4, talisman of preservation = 315 H: Wulfrik = 185 H: Sorcerer - MoN, level 2 = 140 (H: Exalted Hero - BSB, shield = 140) C: 20 Warriors - MoT, blasted standard, full command, shields = 410 C: 29 Marauders - MoK, full command, flails = 195 S: 10 Chosen - MoK, halberds = 220 S: 5 Knights = 200 R: Hellcannon = 205 R: Warshrine = 130 ------- 2000 The gift and various familiars, plus the marauder standing in Wulfrik's spot, were hacked to buy that 4+ ward. The chosen seem like a pretty bad idea IMO, just so so tiny. Yea they'll kill things, but even if all 10 hit combat (they won't most times!) I wouldn't expect them to do a ton on their own. And they're too vulnerable and too unstable - remember without a BSB they're frenzy charging in on a failed LD8 - to put characters in, which means everyone who isn't Wulfrik goes in that warrior block, which marches down the field pretty much alone, just the mini-chosen and a handful of knights by their side, as the heckcannon sits in the back (note: don't sit it in the back, advance and t-stomp gak) and they wait for Wulfy to show up. Oh, I guess the warshrine does what it does. Dibs on not having that warrior deathstar dwellered or gatewayed! - Salvage
