I wasn't quite sure where i should post this question, but putting it in general discussion didn't seem to fit.

Anyways, I've been wondering what this barrel-shaped thing is on the front of fire prisms? Is it a Pulse laser? I realize pulse lasers aren't actually in the wargear of a fire prism, but Falcons have the same barrel thingy and i always thought that was the pulse laser on them.

It's a decorative piece common on all Falcon bodied tanks. It does whatever you say it does.

The pulse laser is the giant lance on the Falcon turret. How you missed it but saw the sensor is anyone's guess.

No, just a sensor boom.

Pulse laser ONLY ever goes on the turret of the Falcon kit (or one of several FW things but that's beside the point) - it's the BIG turret gun they have.

If you put it that way guys, the actual falcon model doesn't have a "pulse laser" on it. The two guns that you see on the turret on the GW falcon, are a brightlance and a scatter laser.

The actual sculpt for the pulse laser is the "large brightlance" you see on the falcon turret, always has been (long as I can remember). Hold up a brightlance next to it and you'll see the differences, they're very similar though, with the main giveaway being the size.

The Falcon has had a pulse laser since the model was made back in mid 2nd ed. That large 'brightlance' IS the pulse laser.
Always was.

Aaahh, sorry if that had been pointed out anywhere in the codex, i wouldn't have had that mistake.
