Hello. I've just started painting my Eldar, am using the Ulthwe world. I really like the dark colors, and would appreciate all suggestions for improvements in my next units that i do. Am thinking of using blue for swords (including for my Banshees). Am having a terrible time trying to decide what to prime in black and what to prime in white - made the mistake of priming two of my Walkers white (plastic ones) and am having a *@(*&$ of a time getting the insides of them painted black! Don't want to start over with them, though...

rainbow dashing to your side

needs more colour. for the avitar I would paint around the craks with orange, yellow etc so it looks like hes glowing. the guardian JBs need their helmets painting a different colour too. great work so far though, I love the lava effect on your avitar

blue would look nice for the swords as it would contrast nicely

Welcome Ulthwe brother I'm painting my Eld also this craftworld You should use more white or bleached bone, they can't be only black. WW look ok, but you must add some colours for jetbikes. Blue on blades will look ok, and make good contrast with dark colors.

Cheers

Thanks for the suggestion - the blue on the JB blades will match well with the swords of other units I'll be using them on. What do you think about doing blue at the edges and then fading back into the black?

Here are the updated pictures - my nephew just told me how to update the pics on the post (DOH) rather than starting a new thread. Comments welcome!

They look much better now. I would do one thing more - take a very light blue for ex. gw ice blue and do the lining on the blue fins, i think it will look better.
