List 1
Nobel 144
Wardancer Kindred
Moonstone of the Hidden Ways
Additional Hand Weapon
Glade Guard*20 240
Wardancers*5 114
Command
Waywatchers*6 152
Shadow Sentinel
List 2
Nobel 144
Wardancer Kindred
Moonstone of the Hidden Ways
Additional Hand Weapon
Dyrads*10 120
Dyrads*10 120
Wardancers*5 114
Command
Waywatchers*6 152
Shadow Sentinel
List 1 Tactics
Soften up targets with the glade guard, they will focus on lightly armored troops. Waywatchers will focus on calvery and heavy armored troops along with lone characters. The wardancers will moonstone of the hidden ways behind my opponent and set up a rear charge senario.
List 2 Tactics
Same waywatcher and wardancer tactics as list 1, the only difference is that i would be using the dyrads to set up more rear and flank charges.
Voting Time
List 1, List 2, or try again
Please give me a reason why you picked what you did so i can better come up with an army.

I voted for try again. I like the first list better than the second, but I think the first still needs some changes. At such a low points level I wouldn't waste points on cool tricks so I would drop the moonstone for more wardancers. I would also lose the sentinel. Oh yea, you don't have to pay for an additional hand weapon for your wardancer noble, he gets the wardancer weapons special rule. The other thing I would add is a banner and musician to the glade guard. I wish the wardancers could take a banner, if necessary I would look into dropping some of the command from the wardancers or something else to squeeze everything else in.
My strategy would be to let the waywatchers do their thing, and have the wardancers backing up the glade guard. If you think you have softened up the enemy charging into the glade guard enough that a stand and shoot will finish them off then do it otherwise flee and let the wardancers take the charge. Now you just have to choose the right dance to help you win combat. Glade guard can rally (another reason for the musician besides reforming) and counter charge if necessary.
Nobel 105
Wardancer Kindred
Glade Guard*20
musician and standard bearer 258
Wardancers*7 143
blade singer
Waywatchers*6 144
total = 650
Something like that.

I am affraid that if i leave the waywatchers alone that i would be throwing away 22% of my army by my turn 3.
With the moonstone of the hidden ways i can atleast provide some back up and get a rear/side charge on the enemy with both of those units. I dont think very much can stand against 5 wardancers and a nobel, that is 15 s4 attacks on the charge and 4 s5 attacks. Plus the additional 12 s3 attacks from the waywatchers if they get in also.
At that point i feel comfortable with my ability to pick apart my enemy. From 20 s3/s4 longbow shots to tons of Close combat thanks to the wardancers i feel that it woudl hold up better than if i gave up 22% of my army right away.

Waywatchers are a hefty investment for what they do at 650... I would consider making a list without them, and increase the numbers of the glade guard if you want more shooting, instead.

So, if i ditch the waywatchers i could take 12 dyrads or 12 glade guard, plus some command. Would that be recomended?

I would consider a couple of great eagles instead and then sprinkle the rest of the points wherever you want. Maybe Blades of Loec for your noble, commands, or more bodies in your units. If you did decide on whole other unit, I would probably go with the dryads.

I think List 1 with dryads instead of waywatchers could be pretty good! They're better at lower point levels where they aren't as likely to have to deal with gigantic units.

Also, I am not convinced you would be wasting your waywatchers. You just have to be smart with them. Make sure you place them out of the enemies shooting or charging arcs and place them next to the woods you bring along as wood elves. Waywatchers start with a -3 for enemies to shoot at them and if you keep them over 12" away the enemy with probably be at another -1 for long range and probably -1 for moving and shooting which the waywatchers can do. If you are charged, then flee. I am sure even cavalry will think twice about charging into woods for them.

That is true, but is it worth taking only 6 guys with hopes they will do something?
