Sorcerer Lord:
MOT
Tailsman of preservation
Charmed Shield
Spell Familiar
Disc
Third Eye
Give him Bloodcurdling Roar for awesomeness. Just be careful with who you place/move him. It might be worth replacing the Spell Familiar with Blood of Tzeentch instead, since you have a pretty good chance of getting the spells you want anyway and BoT helps you prevent nuking yourself at the wrong moments.
BSB:
MOT
Shield/halberd
Book of Secrets
Dispel Scroll
Don't take the BoS, especially on a BSB. You don't get the extra PD anymore and miscasts suck with it. If you want the Dispell Scroll, just get another sorcerer. A support Lore of Fire Sorcerer has served me well thus far since WoC next to no shooting. It's better to get defensive items on the BSB. I like giving mine MoT, Tal of Endurance, Sword of Might, and a shield. Gives him +3/++4 saves and he is no slouch in CC with S6.
Exalted (gen):
MOK
Sword of Swift Slaying
Enchanted Shield
Favor of the Gods
Interesting. Again, I'd try to get a ward in there.
29 Warriors:
MOT
Shields/Halberds
Stan/Musician
Banner of Rage
Tzeentch save us, that is a lot of warriors in a unit! You don't need anywhere near that many. 17(18 with char) in a 6x3 formation or 19(20 with char) in a 5x4 formation(for an anvil) should be just fine. Banner of Rage is counter productive on this unit. You can't parry when frenzied, so the unit won't get it's +5 parry. I like the Raptourous Standard for the ultimate anvil or the Razor Banner for some extra armor reduction on my Tz warriors. Champs are needed as an option to keep your characters out of challenges.
29 Warriors:
MOK
Shields/Halberds
Stan/Musician
Standard of Dicipline
See above concerning unit size and champs. I'd also give this unit shields for the extra armor vs shooting.
40 Marauders
MOK
Full Command
GW's
Good unit. I like running mine with 42 guys in a 6x7 formation because I think that 25mm bases are too large for horde formation, but that's just my opinion.
1 Hellcannon
Good, maybe add a second if you have the points.
1 Warshrine
MOT
You could probably drop this if you need points. Just one warshrine is not going to do alot in an army w/o chosen, but it's not a bad choice.
What are your oppinions?
You'll save a bundle of points dropping some warriors. I'd look some of these suggestions:
-Horsemen Marauders w/Flails to go after warmachines
-Chaos Hounds for redirecting/speedbumps
-Chaos Knights for a speedy hammer(s)
-A second Hellcannon or Warshrine. One is good, two is better.
-A Level 2 Fire Sorcerer with a Dispell Scroll
-Jam the Infurnal Puppet in somewhere. "Sorry, your miscast result of 7 is now a 4. Enjoy your all expenses paid trip to the warp.
