The parchment could use a coat of Bleached Bone, at the moment it looks really odd-coloured and flat, but it's a good effort so far.

not a bad attempt. you could try highlighting the black, water down some astronomicon grey and then very carefully line highlight the edges of armour and that will help define the armour. also try and paint in the gaps like on the ammo feed for the storm bolter etc. washes like badab black really help give depth to the metallics aswell and then when the wash is dry pick the raised areas back out. to keep practicing is the key

I Agree, however in person it looks better. I do like the idea of bleached bone im going to look into that.

I'm on the fence about doing highlights I lack the color and the steady hand. The gaps on the ammo brush are on the todo list. As far as washes go I have none. So that might be a bit.
