Seeing this list just makes me think how far wood elves have to go in 8th... one fragile but fairly killy block of cavalry, one largish block of stubborn troops, characters, and some augmenting units.

Not that much, is it...?

That said, if your anvil can hold its' ground, or perhaps let you get the charge on the turn you transform, good things could happen. It's a bummer that your opponent can simply dispel the transformation during his magic phase, though.

I like the list, would just be worried about only having 2 "real" units on the board for your opponent to have to worry about.
