If anybody wants to give competitive criticism, this is not the thread for you.

After seeing this:

Lictor charges 5 Fire Warriors in cover. After 2 rounds of combat, he kills one; in return the rest of the FWs go into a frenzy and beat the lictor to death with their pulse rifles.

5 Harlies charge 10 FWs and kill 1; in return the rest of the FWs go into a frenzy and beat the clowns to death with their pulse rifles.

A jetseer council charges 10 Fire Warriors. Combat sees no casualties on either side and they remain in combat until the end of the game.

Just some of the accomplishments of my ninja Tau (the last two were in the same game, where I also managed to have 2 hammerheads and 2 broadsides fail to do anything to a wave serpent and falcon over the course of 6 turns bar immobilising the falcon (forcing the harlies out) and taking the last wound off a wraithlord), other accomplishments include a broadside being charged by a scout squad with combat knives and a sergeant with a power weapon after they outlfanked and slaughtered my FWs (who kill 1 in return). My broadside took 1 wound, got mad, smacked two scouts around the head with his smart missile system and sweeping advanced the others as they fled. ! Crisis suit also held the Throne of Judgement in combat for most of a game, even managing to deal a wound.

Yeah, these guys can't shoot for gak, but they have moves

I decided to make a ninja-Tau list to play against eldar. The idea of this list to be as assault-ninjas as our little blue friends can get, which means no kroot. I will most likely lose my game, but not without a few laughs.

Here is my list:

1 Commander ('o)
Vectored Retro Thrusters
TL Flamer

Etherial

Crisis Suit unit (3)
3 TL Flamers and Blacksun Filters

Crisis Suit unit (3)
3 TL Flamers and Blacksun Filters
1 Shas'vre w/ Failsafe

crisis suit unit (2)
TL Missile Pod
TA

4 units of 12 fire Warriors (pulse carbines)

1 unit of 5 Gun Drones.

991 points.

All crisis suits have Flamers to get rid of as many eldar before assault.

The dethrains are for armor.

The failsafe is to do damage when I will inevitably fail a combat.

The commander breaks out of combat, flames, assaults, breaks, flames assaults.

The load of fire warriors will shoot incoming eldar until they are within assault range, and then I will assault.
Nothing says ninja like JSJ-ing Gun Drones, and 3 units of 4 will jump in and out of cover being as annoying as possible.

Please, no criticism towards actual competitive list, this is purely for fun. (Unless that criticism is towards a more competitive ninja-list.)

I have no idea how tau works but your gonna have so much ******* bragging rights if you win.

Hey, on that note, use the element of suprise and pretend like your rolling with a usual dakka tau list.

Oh yes, I will have the element of surprise. I will just try and have the player not include the Avatar... that would be bad.

I will definitely post a batrep for you when I do it.

Doing some mathhammer:

I assault a unit of 12 guardians with 12 fire warriors.
They kill 2 of me.
I kill 3.33 of them.
They kill 1.44 of me
I kill 1.425 of them

... I lose horribly in the end. Oh well, lets see how the odds stack in my favor.

I slightly edited the original list so I could get rid of armor.

I could see that working well against mech guard. As long as you can kill their transports and stay in combat until the end of their assault phase so your suits don't get melta/plasma blasted.

Take farsight he seems like the ninja-est tau to me. Maybe an ethereal to go suicide and get preferred enemy if you don't want farsight.

The etherial is a pretty good idea. I forgot about that one.

Btw, this is at 1000 pts because I figured that's probably the best level to try ninja-Tau. At 1500 I'm guaranteed to have an Avatar and vehicles to chew on.

I think getting rid of the gun drones is probably the best things to do to open up for him.

I also put pulse carbine on my fire warriors so I could assault the turn I fire.
