Hello everyone! Here is my Space Marine Salamander Librarian. I am aware that most librarians are painted blue, but I really dont care for that color and thought green would look better. Feedback is welcome and appreciated. Thanks!

I like what you are doing here. Consider a brown shade for the eagle on the shield.

Nice mini.

I like the way you have done your green. Can I ask how it was done?

Armies | Space Marines (Void Knights - Own Chapter), Space Wolves & Dark Angels | Imperial Guard Cadian and Kasrikin | Grey Knight/Sisters/Inquisitors | Empire - Hochland | Britanan (Relics) | Mordor & Gondor |

Hello, although I'm a static Zero.
I'm fighting all your wars.

Warning: These miniatures contain lead and should not be chewed or swallowed.

These Miniatures may well be miscast...

For the armor: base coat of Knarloc Green, drybrush Goblin Green, Thraka Green wash, and then use a watered down goblin green for highlights.

Thanks for the kind comments and yeah the face could use a bit more detail, but I'm terrible with faces. It was an ordeal just to get the eyes painted haha.

Yea im not the best either ive only resently done my first detailed face I say detailed loosely as all I did was layering and dry brushing lol. But a light dry brush with grey would pick out all the detail you'd want

3,500pts 4,000pts 150pts lol

Personally, for Salamander faces I just do a basecoat of Codex and then a wash of Badab black. Then pick out the eyes.

It's actually a brick wall that I'm hitting with my Dark Eldar. I suck with faces too. And Dark Eldar have a lot of faces.

DE faces can be quite simple once youve cracked it, its better ive found instead of using to much flesh colours to go round the route of using graveyard earth/rotting flesh through to pallid flesh (not sure what the current version of this is) but simple flat colours then pick out the raised profile around the eye noce and chin leaving the receses dark, ive seen someone (might be my old how to paint minartures guide) a good pic which shows the areas to highlight on a face using aragorn as the template

Ah! Dom is on Dakka too! This Librarian is really impressive. Considering how recently you started playing and painting, I'm both impressed and jealous. Hah. You're easily going to surpass me, I think.
