Been working a while on these. Finally got some pictures. I have worked around a few pesky issues which I will highlight.

1. Weapons - I didn't magnatize, because I couldn't find enough cowling pieces. So instead, I chopped the front part of each weapon off, and attached a pin into the back part. So now I have total flexibility on weapons.
2. The turrets on the waveserpents are glued down because they are just too loose to be practical rotating. I also chopped off the antenaes to get them to fit in the foam.
3. I also popped off the fins that stick out on the wave serpents. I did that just because I found them to get in the way, and I think it looks cool.
4. The clean blue trim was created using frog tape, which is a new brand of blue tape (masking tape). It makes a very clean edge.
5. Also, everyone knows the problems of GW bases. I solved this with a magnetic toy. I forget the name, but they are sticks with magnets on the ends. I cut the stick in two, and put a screw into the base of the model. Then I cut a piece of plastic tube to create a sleeve. No more falling over skimmers.
6. I also have made my jetbike seer council out of spare exarch bits, and chopped my jetbike guardians at the waste and put pins into them. With this set up I have 18 jetbikes, that can become 5 shining spears, 2 Autarchs, 2 Farseers, 9 Warlocks, or 18 Guardians.

I bought 3 new Fire Prism kits. I chopped the old heavy prism cannons off and attached the new style cannons on the sides of the turret using the cowling that came in the new kit. Then I built 2 Death Spinners. Then the 3rd kit I left the weapons unglued so that I can slide the prism cannon or death spinner in to make a group of 3 of either type.

Here is one of my Fire Prisms and Death Spinners.

I am especially proud of mounting the new FP cannons on the sides of the turret on my old Fire Prisms. I hated those old metal cannons.

Thats some serious mech-dar you've got going on there! I like the variation on the colour scheme, its giving me ideas for my own... Like the crisp edges, but would perhaps like to see some slightly sharper photography so I can really ogle.

The only downside for me ref the paintjob is that the red seem slightly flat. I'm not sure if its the lighting you've had for the photos, but I can't see if you've highlighted the red in any way. Other than that it all looks very cohesive. Great to see an army of that scale all painted up!

The more I see this, the more im let down with GW's models. You would think they could include some sort of system like this for interchangeable weapons. sigh.

Love the tanks. Love the Eldar!! Very nice.

Currently collecting and painting Eldar from W40k.

These look cool, I used the same magnet toys to magnetise the arms on my Dreadnought when I used to play marines.

I agree on the spines that stick off the sides, it was disappointing to see them snap off in the case so easily so I never used them after the first one.

Thanks. I will clean up the pics, but check the videos, they are better.

Here are a few pics of troops.

I think I am now 35 troop models from 9,000 points fully painted and based.

The flatness of the color is somewhat by choice. I don't highlight really. It saves time. I did paint a darker red into the groves on the vehicles. But then the matte finish varnish I used really dulled down the brightness of the red.

That's seriously prodigious, over 140 models painted for a non horde army. Colour me impressed! How long has all that taken to do?

Color my wife pissed.

Actually 175 troop models and 30 vehicle/walker/gun type.

I'll have the rest knocked out in 2 weeks I hope, because I really want to start my marines.

I probably started collecting Eldar 14 months ago.

I paint in spurts, and production style, color by color, 10 to 20 models at a time.

That's why you marry a geeky girl! Really, I don't understand you married guys and your relationships with your wives, I just don't.

I like your army, but you really SHOULD consider highlighting them, they would look so much better with just a quick drybrush/wash. Ah well, not everybody has time.
