Hey, I've been lookin through my IG codex. After lookin endlessly through GW's website i could only think one thing, where the @#$% is guardsman marbo. Do you have to make a model for him?

Make you own cool snazzy guy for whichever regiment you play. Just make sure he has the right equipment and looks suitably tooled up.

GW did make a model for him around the time he was released as part of the original Catachan's Codex. Just google search him, he's the first image to come up. Of course you could always make a characterful themed model of your own-the Solid Snake Orange box is always a fave of mine-, I'll be making my own gas mask toting executioner soon enough too. Oh and BTW, he is meant to be the Rambo of the 41st millenium, ie Sly=Sylvester (Stallone), Marbo = Rambo. ^^

I really don't think I could have said it any better myself. Even if it's just a kitbash, it'll look better than what GW would put out for him.

Catachans are great. Anyone who says otherwise is just silly.

However, I wasn't satisfied with the standard Marbo model, and I kitbashed my own some time ago:

Here is the model I use for Marbo in my army. He needed to be given the Praetorian treatment and was heavily converted using a Praetorian model. Unfortunately, this trooper left his iconic pith helmet up the backside of my opponent's army after detonating his demo-charge.

Considering Marbo is more often than not a suicide unit, I'm "__" this close to just lashing a regular cadian with a bunch of dynamite and pose him just running at the bad guys

Yes, GW DID put out a Marbo model. In fact, I'm pretty sure they've put out two over the years.

And yes, he looks like just another catachan.

At some point I'm going to model up something to be a Marbo model, but for now I'm just using the most badass model I happen to already have around.

The Marbo under the cardboard box idea is fantastic. Love it.
