Subject: My Imperial Fists, Deathskulls and Terrain Collection!
Hey guys, I created this thread as a place to share photos of my 40K armies, terrain and other collection stuff. I have 7300+ points of painted Imperium (mostly Imperial Fists Space Marines), 6250+ points of Deathskulls Orks and several pieces of commissioned terrain. The armies and terrain both were commissioned through several artists over the years, including (but not limited to) Brian Bivona (aka Paint Vagrant), Matt Susalka, Sean Davis, Next Level Painting, 3T Studios and a handful of others. Without further ado, here's some pictures:
UPDATE: I posted army shots a long time ago. I recently obtained a lightbox, and I'm in the process of doing updated unit photos. I've changed the whole OP, and I'll be updating it with additional shots as I take them.

I can still remember when a box of 30 Space Marines was $30.00. Now THAT'S old school! In fact, I started playing in the Rogue Trader days...yes, I am that old. Played Warhammer Fantasy for years before Rogue Trader even came out...

Thanks!
Ya, I've been really happy with the artists that have commissioned both the armies and the terrain.
The case is a commercial jewelry display case. The case wasn't particularly expensive (in comparison to other ones out there) but the shipping to a residential address was atrocious.

Thanks! It's taken me a long time to assemble the collection (and a lot of $$$, of course) but it's been worth it.

The name of this subforum is Painting & Modeling Showcase.
This means that people who browse this, do so specifically to see pictures of finished models. So there's no way anything in here can be considered a "spoiler" that should be hidden under any circumstance. In short, those tags just make browsing this thread a pain in the ass...
Other than that, really nice work. That sure as hell is a display case to be proud of. Nice crisp painting with vibrant colours, especially on the imperial fists!
The boy, I say, the boy is as sharp as a sack of wet mice...

Everything looks good my friend, you got your moneys worth on those commissions. I must say I'm also very jealous of your setup. Also I personally don't mind the tags they make it a bit easier to scroll down and browse through the post and look at one section at a time.

I understand the purpose of the subforum. The spoiler tags are there to keep the OP organized, and to prevent all the images from popping up at once. It also makes it easier to browse and scroll through. Sorry you don't like it that way.
Glad you like the work though!

The case has made displaying very easy and convenient, in addition to looking great.
Thanks for the complement on the commissions!

Really impressive collection! And your scenery is top-shelf stuff, I really enjoyed it all.
But yeah, best to just post it all IMO. I hate clicking on the spoilers to see it all, I think its easier to just load it all at once and scroll through it.

I'd love to get a display case for my fists as well but sadly my hobby is treated as my "dirty little secret" and hardly anyone knows I paint haha.
Ya, you could probably do about 1500-1850 points per shelf, depending on the composition. Far more if you don't have terrain to show off too.
Don't keep your painted dudes a secret, show those guys off!

If enough people prefer the wall of photos to the hidden pictures format, I can certainly switch it. I figured people would rather have the bulk of them hidden at a time though. Interesting.
Everything looks great, but when individual quality gets compounded with terrain (I thought I recognized 3T's touch, before I reread the OP - love their work!), lighting, group composition, etc. it really takes on a whole new dimension. If I had that display sitting around at home, I don't think I'd need a TV - I could just stare at it for hours! That's a drool-inducing collection, if I've ever seen one. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks dude! 3T did an amazing job on the terrain, and I'm really happy with the work the commissioned artists put into the figures themselves.

Jewelry display cases. That one wasn't too expensive, and if you have a commercial address to ship it to, the shipping costs aren't too outrageous.

Wow, thanks for the glowing praise!
Every time I wander into my office I spend some time ogling the case. :p
3T did a super job on the terrain. It's so flavorful and so well executed.
I'll continue to update the OP with shots of my new stuff when I make a few 6th edition updates.
There's not one thing I saw that I didn't like. Love the yellow on the IF if only GW would paint theirs like that. And that terrain I can't even begin to describe how cool it looks.

Hey thanks a lot man!
I like the way the 5th company looks (black trim on the yellow instead of red) so that's how I commissioned my IF stuff. And I think using the red on the weapon casings instead of the trim and chestplates really makes them pop. But I could just be biased.
