I recently played a battle with this rule, it is fun!

basicaly, you make one unit out of separate single minatures:
We tried 3 stegadons and skaven assassins(Abley named assassins creed brotherhood!)

IIRC, it meant the unit was immune to psychology and if a member died, it became frenzied and a few other things, which I can't remember.
