This is my first serious try at blending. The technique I used was feathering, as I understand it.

1. Primed with Chaos Black
2. Base coat of Regal Blue
3. UM Blue 1:3 diluted and feathered down from high points
4. UM Blue 3:1 with Space Wolves Grey, 1:3 diluted feathered on only higher points
5. UM Blue 2:1 with Space Wolves Grey for line highlighting

I'm not one to fish for compliments. I believe these are just fine as far as tabletop quality goes, although close-up photography is punishing to the ego. I really want to make my mini's stand out, but I know that getting Space Marines to above-tabletop quality is a huge jump. Without being too much of a care-bear, can I ask you guys for some tips specific to Ultramarines? Thanks!!

*Please note* I have many things to pay attention to as far as cleaning up armor panels, etc, this post is mainly focusing on blending/feathering and making it look decent.
