Pulsating Possessed Chaos Marine

I have come across several articles on painting gold. Heres the fastest way ive found and am hoping to paint up my grey knights / blood angels in this fashion. Best of luck if you use my method, I'll shake your hand and buy you a beer.
Basic Tabletop look good:
Prime Black
Basecoat gold (don't pay attention to detail.
Wash Devlan Mud 1 coat
Repaint shining gold
Highlight mithril silver
liner tin bitz in the recesses and cracks of armor
Advanced SpeeedPainter:
Prime white
Basecoat tin bits
drybrush shining gold until its a dirty gold
wash devlan mud
Paint shinging gold coat 1
After drying, paint coat 2 where only light hits the figure
Mix 60/40 shining gold to mithril silver and highlight(because burnished gold feels like watered down shining gold)
liner tin bits in recesses and cracks of armor.
Good luck and I hope my method works just as well to you.

For my gold it's:
prime whatever color the model needs
gold areas base coated in calthan brown
second base of Reaper Pro Series Dragon Gold(best dark gold on the market)
Soft Body Black wash or devlan mud wash depending on the tone of the model
VMC Shining Gold
Edges with Reaper Pro Series Bright Gold
and you end up with:

I paint all gold pieces on my marines this way:
Base coat black,
fully cover in shining gold,
wash with un-watered badab black,
highlight or drybrush (depending on what type of detail you are painting) with burnished gold,
do a final extreme highlight of mithril silver on any tips or points.
Looks quite nice but the badab wash dulls the shininess a bit so don't use this if you want sparkly marines!

I use all Vallejo Model Colors (VMC) metallics...
My basic method is airbrush (using a cheapo airbrush) some VMC Brass with a little bit of VMC Copper (5:1 ratio).
Wash with my custom gold wash (basically it's mostly P3 Umbral Umber with a little Red and a little Green), then highlight with VMC Brass... then VMC Gold, then VMC Gold mixed with VMC Silver (3:1). Finally use thinned down custom wash to create (nmm-like) shadows, and glaze highlights into shadows with P3 Sanguine Base.
Here is a WIP shot, still a lot to go but you get the idea:
