So I'm painting my Orks i got this weekend a nice Regal Blue and various highlights on them and i was wondering from the talented painters out there, What's the best way to battle damage this armor.

I was thinking Fortress Grey little nics & scrapes, then a Codex Grey then maybe a Chainmail?
Or would Skull White be better for them instead of Fort. Grey?

Any advice is much appreciated, thank you thank you (:

Have you washed the armor at all? I always wash Ork armor with watered down orange paint, it nicely gives the illusion of rust. As for battle damage, my suggestion would be to paint bits with tin bitz, and then layer that with chainmail, leaving some tin bitz showing. Its quite effective, especially when you chip some of the armor before the rust wash, it kind of gives the look that it was damaged at an earlier time and never fixed

Just my 2 cents

Coming from someone with ork in their name i will try your way (:

Do you wash in blazing, fiery, or foundation orange? i figure watered down foundation will make it faded? and should i highlight the scrapes?
