Lost in the Warp....

For the other blood angels he seems thrown in there to make the other guys happy for non blood angel dex's. Anyway the I think IMO that he should get some special power like a chapter tactic that makes him a little more special. So I think he should give something nice like a chapter tactic for them, what should this be.

Knock a point off his weapon's st and change it into a power weapon and he is golden.

maybe like s7 and PW is nice but like a special rule that helps the army would be good

Give all Red-Rage (automatic 1) or Furious Charge? Perhaps Fleet, but that might be too powerful.

I think he's a very interesting characters. Definitely the first Special Character to be based off a sucessor chapter from one of the codicies (Barring Kantor?).

I reckon his rules are very good, especially the advantage gained from enemies rolling 1's to hit (which will inevitably happen), and the special rule of deal an auto hit to all enemies in base contact means there will always be the urge/option to thrown him into hordes of units much like Yriel. Making it a power weapon at Str 8 (striking at that initiative) would simply make him a monster.

I cannot recall whether his weapon is rending, though. Nor his points cost. But he did make me think about a Flesh Tearers army.

I think it is (rending). And, if we're being pedantic, Both High Marshal Helbrect and Reclusiarch Grimaldus from codex BT are from succesor chapters.

You are being pedantic. Stop it.

So army wide Rage then?

Seeing as that is the chapter's specialty.

As someone mentioned Kantor, I'll mention that he was the first ever special character in 40k, full stop. In fact, he was the first ever character. Back then he was Cantor instead of Kantor though. Interestingly, one of the play-testers for W40k: Rogue Trader, where he first ever appeared, was called Pete Cantor. How cool would it be to have a massively popular character in 40k named after you?

Though guards may sleep and ships may lay at anchor, our foes know full well that big guns never tire.

I think wide rage would make the character so less playable as it would be your opponent moving your guys, not you!I think a force multiplier i am not sure!

Any unit that starts it's movement phase within 12" of the enemy suffers from rage. Every Sarge costs 25pts more and is an apothecary on top of everything else.

You do, but it keeps the elite slots open for other things and it makes giving the troops cheaper FnP and FC. This might be the incentive to make lists with more boots on the ground instead of in rides. The FC and FnP will also allow them to survive a bit when the enemy gets close. No backing up from horde units to shoot them again, with rage you are charging. The rage is also a drawback against drop podding Dreads as anybody near them will have to move towards them. Not bad for melta, but you are making tthe heavy weapons on foot move when they don't want to.

But what if you need to hold on objective you will just run off it, also if it is a horde why not kill more from staying back then charging them.

Hence why Rage isn't a fantastic rule.

The solution, of course, if to kill every fething thing that doesn't resemble a friend (and maybe a few the do) on that field.

Why? A player has to work with this.

That's the chapter trait though, if he's going to have any army wide rule it would be to make them more like the Flesh Tearers.

They aren't known for standing back and shooting, picture loyalist Khorne Berserker and you have the Flesh Tearers. So maybe Rage and Stubborn (as they don't care about anything but the fight once they get going).

I actually like that, if you take him all non vehicle units have rage while they get stubborn.
