The Arschloch Incident M36, while fighting against the forces of Chaos in the Rubicon Straits, just outside the eye of Terror, the Shadow dragons are were assaulting the traitor held world known as Arschloch, help arrived, in the form of an Ultramarine strike force on patrol in the sector and together the two fleets managed, through a process of unforgiving bombardments and surgical raids, to cleanse the planet. However as the Chapters were about to part ways a Chaos fleet came out of the warp, still stuck in the gravity well of the planet the Shadow dragons had no choice but to stand and fight, Smaller escorts who had already moved away from the planet in preparation for warp travel fell back to cover the battle-barges that were still recovering troops from the surface. As the larger ships managed to bring there weapons to bear the battle intensified, the Loyalist ships soon started to run into problems, as they had expended most of their heavy ordinance subduing the planet. Chapter master Wilhelm Ernhal, the then current Master, volunteered lead a boarding party into the bowels of the largest Chaos ship. Covered by an Escort ship the small volley of boarding torpedoes pierced the ships hull, disgorging their payload of Terminator veterans into rear of the ship. These determined warriors fought towards the engine rooms slashing and shooting anything they thought might be vital to the running of the ship, as they arrived at the main engine space the ship rocked suddenly, alarms started to sound and fires engulfed the compartment. From the bridge of the battle-barge Brother Captains watched in horror as the Ultramarines Battle-barge, finished with its targets turned to bring its broadside to bear on the battered chaos carrier, the second broadside crashed into the side of the ship, splitting it open, crewmembers on the Shadow Dragons Battle-barge, Shadow of Intent, watched in horror as the carrier began to rupture, explosions rippled down it's flanks, the Teleportorium was quickly activated trying to recall the terminators still on board, but to no avail explosions reached the engine room and the ship was torn apart in a fireball of plasma. the Brother captains on the bride dropped to there knees, thirty members of the first company and their chapter master obliterated, by another loyal chapter. After the Battle, the Ultramarines Tried to send an envoy over to apologise in person, his shuttle was met by a lance shot across it path and it quickie retreated. The Shadow of Intent lingered for another month, thunderhawks and shuttles scanning every piece of wreckage for anything recoverable. 10 suits of armour and the fragments of another 4 were recovered, along with the suit Wilhelm had been wearing.
To this day the shadow Dragons have always been wary when working with the Ultramarines, even thought the other chapter seems to of all but forgotten the incident
Binding of Ice and Flame The final test of an Initiate before becoming a fully fledged space marine, the initiate is shown a map of the area surrounding Noveria, the capital of Cypria Mundi, before being hooded and bundled into a Thunderhawks. They are then taken down to the surface and left, they must fend off the natural Cyprian predators while completing various tasks. They must kill, with proof, a Greater Cyprian Kerloc, one of the most feared predators on the planet, forge a blade in temperatures that peak at -20C and make it back to the Great Gates of Noveria, however, they are only wearing their scout armour and they are only armed with a bolt pistol with 2 rounds, and this pistol must be presented upon their return to the gates.
Armageddon The Shadow dragons were one of the many chapters to respond to Armageddon's call for help. Landing alongside the Salamanders, they supported their parent chapter's assaults on the Roks of the Hemlock river. although the Salamanders preferred the tight short-range of the interiors the Shadow dragons fought outside, destroying Ork armour that tried to fight back to their Roks. Shadow Dragons armoured units were vital additions to the Refugee columns, escorting bands of refugees to safe zones set up by the imperial guardsmen. They fought without thanks, small units being dropped into breaches, stemming green tides just long enough for the defending units to be reinforced of evacuated, before being picked up and moved onto the next area. It became common for other chapters, sometimes even other Shadow Dragons, to have difficulties identifying returning marines as they were so covered in greenskin blood, grime and mud.
Fortress Monastery Structure Situated in the only remaining moon of Cypria Elysiant, the fortress monastery of the Shadow Dragons is a formidable fortress and a major feat of Imperial engineering, The 400 miles across the centre of the moon has been hollowed out, leaving a vast interior space. The main bulk of the fortress monastery hangs form the uppermost surface of this core, with various power cores and training buildings studded around the interior surfaces, a vast docking facility has also been constructed in the centre of the planet, allowing elements of the chapter fleet to dock directly with the fortress. From the surface the moon looks completely barren, except for the massive Blast doors leading to the core of the planet, but in reality the entire planet is studded with hidden defence lasers, camouflaged to look like rocky outcroppings or hidden at the bottom of craters.
Dwellings
the main quarters of the fortress are all situated at the north pole of the hollow, containing the all the chapters living quarters, chapels and communal forges.
The south pole of the fortress contains the chapters Industrial areas and the vaults containing chapter relics, access to this part of the fortress is restricted to senior chapter members.
At the main entrance there is a small dock for Thunderhawk sized craft that leads directly into a grand corridor, lined with highly detailed statues, each with his head bowed in respect, rolling hololiths with the name-rank-year of death of every past space marine give this part of the fortress an eerie red glow, this opens into the main halls of the fortress, which looks exactly like this, but without the hunched over people

the dormitories, guest quarters, sparring rooms, dreadnought storage, and main parade ground are all contained under this plateau

Geography: it's an ice world, mostly plains, some crystal forests (like the Necron crystals but ice like), they're very difficult to navigate as they absorb sound and they’re constantly braking and growing.
Population centres: three main hives, numerous smaller stations, main off-world tether (elevator), Orbital defence stations.
Government:
planetary lord supported by a 10 member Exalted council, the council is supported by various representative from different sections of Cyprian society, it works like a presidency, with the exalted council making most of the day to day decisions but the planetary lord has the final say, he's an elected member of the Council and can Veto the decision of the council, after which he must step down or be arrested by the High Lancers for attempted treason, and will be sentenced to the 'Final walk' outside the hives.
Major exports:
Processed ores and gases, the Cypria system is home to one unique thing, the processor ship the 'Enigma of Adimantium' it is a relic from the dark age of technology, a massive ship, over 10km long, supported by a fleet of tenders and mining craft, this fleet is slowly tearing apart the other planets in the system. bulk haulers bring chunks of these planets to the 'Enigma of Adamantium' where they are processed and spat out as blocks of refined ore, each one the size of a Dauntless cruiser. The Mechanicum is quite glad to take these blocks of ore out of the system, attaching them to intersystem transports and sending them to forge worlds across the sector, and although initially baffled by the scale of this operation, have now inhabited the ship, trying to regain control of it's systems to try to unlock it's secrets
more to come, probably, I need to develop the cities more, all I have at the moment is that they look like giant eden project bubbles, but non transparent
