Annual WHFB tournament held in NZ where players are required to run extremely weak army lists - this isn't optional, the only way to gain entry was to submit something that wouldn't really compete in a normal tourney. This post contains the 2011 highlights and of course the batreps themselves. Starting with the highlights, scroll down for the batrep links.

#1 Having my round 6 opponent explain to me how my youtube batreps had inspired him to paint up his army and participate in the tournament. It went on to be the best game of the event for me by far, coming right down to the wire and bringing together all of the jammy dice rolling, clever tactics and sheer battle on the hill with lightning crashing in the background as the two rival Altdorf generals battle for the favour of Karl Franz goodness.

#2 My Hellstorm Rocket Battery. Absolute gold this weekend. Flattening units left right and centre, sometimes even my own ones. In game 3 it must have killed about 50 of Henry's orcs. Imagine fire a skaven doomrocket every turn, that's what it was like. Pzzeeeeeeeeeewwwww BLAM

#3 Beastmen army winning top painting. Great work.

#4 Two Bret players with somewhat tougher lists than everyone else elbow their way to the top of the tables by round 4. They're given battle for the pass with a river splitting the board. Game turns stale when they realise that charging the other guy denies ranks and that their armoured horsies can't swim.

#5 Getting sleep before each event day.
