Subject: 1850 nids competitive?

So I have been working on several lists recently and one of them performed really well the other day so I thought I would post it here:
Prime
Deathspitter
Lashwhips and Bonesword
Regenerate
Adrenal Glands
Prime
Deathspitter
Dual Boneswords
Regenerate
Adrenal Glands
3x Zoanthropes
3x Hive guard
11x gaunts
12x gaunts
Tervigon
Catalyst
Adrenal glands
Toxin Sacs
Tervigon
Catalyst
Adrenal glands
Toxin Sacs
Trygon
Trygon
2x Dakkafexes
Now the idea is simple. Footslog it across the board and hold objectives with gaunts. Now granted not all missions are objectives but the list doesn't give away that many easy KP's either. Although the trygons look deadly when deployed on the table the real deathstar is the combined Primes and fexes. FnP them and make sure they have cover and they can take some serious punishment. Not sure how this will fare against DE or IG but I pitted this (and a variant) against orks and SW. 2 big wins. So my question is...is this list solid on paper or am I missing something?

It's a fairly solid list, but there is scope for some tweaking. Without a points breakdown I will assume your list is exactly 1,850 ...
I wonder about the regen. It has never worked for me. Also, do the primes need adrenal if attached to the dakka fexes? They will be shooting every turn and so won't need to benefit on the charge. Also, do you therefore really need the lashwhip and bonesword upgrade?
My thinking here is that if you trim the points here and drop the gaunts to 10 strong broods you can afford another hive guard and field them as 2*2 for the added flexibility of being able to shoot at 2 targets.

Hmm interesting.
My train of thought was that once the fexes get close the Primes can split and are still reasonably hard hitting when on their own. And with regen they can soak up wounds and then get them back later. Very useful when you don't want a wounded fex to take a power weapon hit.
Will try freeing up some points and throwing some more hive guard in though. More bodies is where it's at (especially if they are HG).

Or they can remain <2" close to the fexes for assaulting enemies hitting at I=1 (prime with the whip) or inflict ID on pesky IC/ TH model trying to bring da beast down.

Looks alright but not sure about those Zoanthropes on foot, would be better with Hive Guard.

Yeah that was another consideration. I feel I need to try more variants with a few alternative options thrown out there. TBH I was putting in the zoeys due to our local meta. A successful IG player likes running 3 manticores. They ruin hive guard but zoeys have a 3++ and are a bit more survivable. They also give me something to hit AV14 with at range. Will be trying out a variation soon.

If the Zoanthrope fails it's armour save from a Manticore it's instant death, won't be for Hive Guard.
