Ok, so I just got my ass handed to me in a 750 point game with my tyranid playing friend.

my previous list I will admit was a little disjointed, but without any power fists I was unable to do anything against his MCs since I could only wound on 6s.

I decided if my friends are all going to bring land raiders and huge creatures of massive devastation to small point games I'm done playing with experimental lists and am going to lay some smackdown space wolves style!

my list is as follows for this purpose:

i'm a little out of touch with space wolves, but wouldn't jaws of the world wolf be a better bet than living lightning for getting rid of MCs?

Also, I'd make your LF all MLs. Then you can Krak or Frag, which is ideal for taking out Nids.

Also, I'd drop PF on gray hunters, and give them meltas... I think that you are spending too much on HQ... I'd spam razorbacks (you can easily have 4 on this pts cap + long fangs)...

Jaws is no good against my friend's list, all are initiative 5 MCs, meaning they are immune or only die on 6s at least.

str 7 hits would do a lot more against them and useful against his other non MC creatures, decent against gants.

I have a personal vendetta against going all missle launchers on my long fangs, I like them more personalized XD.

Without powerfists his hive tyrant or trygon can walk in and mop up my grey hunters without any chance of retaliation.

but perhaps I should drop the wolf lord, I was thinking of using him similar to how I would use a lone wolf.

The Wolf Lord generally doesn't make his points back unless he's on a Thunderwolf. If you're going to show them the nasty, run this:

You'll have enough to drop a Monstrous Creature a turn and stuff like that. You could sacrifice a unit of Grey Hunters and instead of 3 Lascannons take 2. With those points take another Long Fang unit with 3 ml,2 pc. Not as spammy and more effective in my opinion.
