OK ....... just started a new Daemonhunter army . Got most of the base troops done as well as the Termies. Now Im on the the special Chars .. Let me know what you guys think !!!

WOW sorry i was out of country for a bit .... thanks for the kind replys guys !!! ... here are some picts of the models getting closer to finish ...

most of the blocking is done here ...

Here with a slight glaze and wash ... the bases get removed and replaced with the new production ones in a bit.

And the start of the center piece .....

So what do you guys think ? .... lots more to come .... just got the plastics in .... they are sweeeet cant wait to mod those...

What model is that huge creation? I haven't seen those legs, guns or arms before. What are those from? Is it all plastic?

Also, what rules are you going to use to field these huge dread-like robots?

I don't think I've seen Red GK's before, but it's definitely awesome. Might have to try it out on my sergeants.

My lonely GK Termie box I ordered should arrive next week, and once I get out of university and back home I'll be going full-tilt. Anyways, they look great, I'm excited to see more, and HOLY S**T WHAT'S THAT IN THE MIDDLE? I was blinded by the great red paint and didn't see that giant ... thing ... in the middle.

I'm hoping for a Knight Titan, but it seems kinda bulky for that.

Man your GK army is sweet, Really loving the Warmaster conversions you got going on.

I wasn't digging the bright red however the glazes have dulled it and brought them to a level just slightly higher than badass.

The center piece.... words cannot express the creative thoughts running through my head on that beast, subbed!

These conversions are epic, and the throne looks amazing...and as for that knight titan post, the new GK dread knights are perfect for that ^^

Will you be painting your GK's again with more layers or is that them complete? The reason I ask is, that I think they look really good and if you could get that Red Metallic effect (Maybe by painting a few bits silver then washing them with a Red Wash) it would compliment the Red Armour. I like this as it is Original, where did you get the PLASTIC MADCAT from ?

So the jump packs are just added coolness ... Im thinkin they give a really gothic feel to the Inquisitors..

The center piece is a old toy from the Matrix movie

With the red ... thats what the fella wanted on them ... no metallics ... but hecks yeah I can make some metallic red .. with a really deep tone on them .. yeah that would be sweeeet. He wanted a really cool center for the army and this is what i found to work with .. ill see is I have any in progress picts of it as well

I find using gold instead of silver makes a nicer metallic red, but that's just me. For the wash, best to go with an ink rather than the GW wash as well as it tends to be a touch too weak to pull off the effect.

I like the Khador jack conversions as Dreadnoughts and that chair titan.

Ahhhh great point .. ive don in the past some with gold as the base .. it really works well ... at least back when we had to come up with our own concoction for the washes ... lol

n0t-u which inks do you use to get that effect with gold? I'm really interested in using it in the future and GW Washes as you say are a bit weak.

I used to get inks from the local art store ... then mix a little furniture polish with it ... have to keep it mixed allk the time tho before use ... A side effect of having the polish in it was it made it dry a bit faster ... from the alcohol content in the polish ... let me see if i can find the exact ones i used .... im sure the ink was made by a co named bombay .... from like Dr martin's india inks .... ill look for the polish tho... you may be able to use the ink only ... as a wash over the gold ... the inks are mostly heavier when you use the india type ...(read heavy pigment suspended in the matrix)

I was only able to find the P3 ink locally so that's what I went with.
I'm just waiting for the base to dry, then I'll upload a warjack using it; in a new thread of course.
