Quick question: What IS a Meat Grinder mission? I've heard them mentioned but never actually known what it is...

It was an old mission type.
Essentially one army would recycle units and keep throwing bodies into the battle.
The objective was to completely wipe out the enemy, if one model survived, they won.

3rd edition main rulebook had it. Don't remember the page number, sorry.

4th edition main rulebook also has it. Page 195.

Keep in mind that a typical 5th edition army may do very poorly in this scenario, as vehicles (including dedicated transports) can't be recycled.
