Unit comp: 1-5 battle giants
Type: monstrous creatures
WS3 BS3 S9 T6 W5 I3 A2 L10 SV 5+/-
Wargear:
• Flak armour
• Battle cannon
• CC weapon
Options:
Any giant exchange his battle cannon for
• Demolisher siege cannon...........15 points
• Manticore missiles launcher (with 4 storm eagle missiles) .........10 points
Or may exchange his battle cannon for any 2 of the following
• Heavy bolters*..........................-20 points each
• Auto cannons*..........................-20 points each
• Lascannons*..............................-10 points each
• Mortars*...................................-25 points each
• Missile launchers*.....................-15 points each
Any giant may take
• Up to 3 Drum grenades..................10 points each
Special rules: feel no pain, fearless, furious charge, stupid.
stupid: roll a D6 each, on a roll of 1 the giant gains the rage rule, on 2-5 he's unafected, on 6 he gains the slow but porpusable rule.
Drum grenades: range: 10 S: 6 AP: 5 type: heavy1, barrage, large blast
*Counts as pistols

He is way over skilled for 150pts.

He needs ... WS2, BS2, W4 and rage ... or add 100pts.

Because S***loads of tanks werent enough, now I get S***loads of tanks with 6 wounds each. and they get to assault.
So whatelse should the IG get to cheese the list even more and bump my win to loss ratio to 1:0?

... then you play Dark eldar and 30pts of wraks kills him.

Just so we're all cleare. you cant take a cannon and two heavy pistols. OK

I'd allow it. I seems similar to the WHFB orc giant. I havn't read the rules but it seems like it would be about the same amout of points ( not including the wargear )

Should probably tone down the crazy options. Them being able to wield a specially made battle cannon, somewhat believable. Them having access to the rarest of specialty forgeworld produced cannon types, not believable. Scale your ideas back a bit.

I'm all for new units and stuff, but this seem a tad-bit over the edge.

My idea was based around a 40k version of the WHFB orc giant.

The models would look sooo awesome! ..And be so expensive! bUT SO WORTH IT.

Imagine the look on the oponents face when he/she see's there best units get half wiped out in shooting, and the other half annihilated in assault.

I wouldn't have thought that 2 heavy bolters are worth 20 points more than a single battlecannon; why would anyone pay points to lose the ordnance?

And maybe just a battle cannon,or better some kind of gaint ripper gun.

Yeah, to many nasty options. make the battlecannon standard and maybe a single other rapid fire, lower strength option (as stated above).


Also, S9 with furious charge? If it's a MC it's going to get 2D6 vs armour anyway, why have the strength so high? Lower the strength or lose FC IMHO.

I can't say how balanced it is, but I hate the concept. The IG should not get monstrous creatures, especially not one that's just an exceptionally large human.

Bs2, I2 with twin Linked s7 Ap4 assault 5 shredder cannon? Battle cannon seems a bit stoopid. As are in fact all of the wargear options.

I Like your chart but maybe more chance of slow and purposeful?

A creature like this should not have anti tank weaponry, it should rely on tank-popping in assault.

+Fallen giant template is kindof a must.....
