I use to be a Tyranid player but decided that I wanted to do something different. In come the Tau! I am off to a good start with 24 fire warriors and 4 gun drones. Still in the paint testing phase with them, but I think that I am going with a winter them to start off with. Solid colors at first with nothing to fancy till I get use to painting and get the time to pester a really good painter.

Yay! I have a small update

Everything is finally primed, well, as primed as i want it to be for me to start painting.

Cool. I was going to play tau when I first started but didn't have enough money for a sqaud ( I was 9 lol) so I bought a chaos sqaud. I love chaos but tau always taunt me. Anyways good luck lol

Seems the Tau are a taunting race as they're calling to me too. The color scheme's not bad, it just seems like it still needs a little something though.

I am sure you will do well with that start for your army, although I am not certain for your weapon choices on the crisis suit, a flamer and shield generator are a risky combo, a good solid loadout is plasma rifle and missle pod ( it's called a fireknife config ), gives you some range and anti-armor capability. just a suggestion though.

Is that combo fairly safe and strong? I was thinking the same thing about the flamer, what good is it if I use it once and get assaulted the next. Don't like the idea of a one time use thing.

This is my final paint scheme, clean on the top with its nice red marking and a bit of cammo on the guns. tell me what you think, positive feedback is a great ego booster

Ah the red bit. That's what it needed. It just seemed to bland...white, black and grey. That red definitely gives a little eye catcher. Very nice.

Soo'Vah'Cha - I would like to embrace the Tau, but I'm banned from buying models for a while. But fear not. The railguns will be firing for me soon enough. Bwahahahaha!

My army is slowly growing and I have a better idea on what to do on all of the paint schemes with lots of helpful insight from my friends. So lets not wait before I get to show more of my stuff off. I would love your input and ideas on what you think might be a good idea for the painting. Also, sorry about any misspelling.
