Just finished putting together and painting my first Malifaux figures.

The first one was a little tricky though as this was the first time I've actually done gore. Usually I'm against it as it doesn't really add to the model much, but Kirai has a severed head at her feet and hedge cutters in her hands so it can't be helped.

I went with flicking red ink, I think it kind of wrecks the face but it might just be the angle of the picture.

Looking at these pictures though, the ink looks a little paler than in person.

Next up is Ikiryo. Seeing as it's not the same as the other spirits I wanted to give it a different look to them. Eventually I found a thread by SethDrallitoc about their VC army on the VC forum and I liked the way they painted the Spirit hosts, so I based the way I painted Ikiryo from that a little.

Datsue-Ba.
I think I may have gone overboard on the lighting a little.

Onryo.
I like how the eyes came out on these.

Seishin.
I was lucky enough to get an extra base in the box, added with the base I had leftover from the canoness conversion I was able to scratch built some temporary Seishin stand ins.
I wasn't going to use the Genestealler skull in anything anyway.

Lastly another group shot that shows the bases better.

Thanks for taking the time to look.

Datsue-Ba is my favourite of them all, makes me think of a cold, wintery walk through a graveyard.. Ghost of Christmas future! Yes, that's it.

Very nice work on them all.
