Hello Dakka and friends...

today i want to show you a nice conversion idea that was suggested by Perkustin in one of my other threads...
he wanted to see something like the following scene done for a small diorama for IGs...




this is what i´ve done with his vision....:


first guy of three...








second guy of three...




and third one...








and the three together in scene...they try to help him get away from a severe fight...

well if you see moldlines... do point them out, i would love to remove them... i had some plenty modles ruined cuase of not removed moldlines...

a wordbubble i was thinking about.... some clear plasticsheet aboute the head with a bit of a trail to the speaking mouth stating: MEEEDIIICCCC!!!

I saw some at the boots of all of them I think. At least, they were partly removed, there were just some pieces left.

ok will check the boots.... when i create something new i am a bit very uneasy with this sort of thing....they have to be purged^^ thx scrazza^^

No problem. But I think you won't see em either way, with all the mud you're going to add .

Yeah, otherwise the boots would look off.

I dunno about the medic though. Might overcrowd the diorama, IMO.

i had that thought too...any suggetions for fleshing out the base stil?

Maybe add a broken lasgun? Some sandbags? The possibilities are endless...

yep sandbags probably...the lasgun sounds nice...only to do it convincingly i would need some inspiration...

no speech bubble. Have it painted on the base.
I vote sandbags and a half-buried lasgun...
and no medic or wonded guy.

For the broken lasgun, imagine the ammo clip overheating, and exploding. The area around the clip would be somewhat melted through and scorched. Hope this will get you some inspiration.

Otherwise, you couèld also add a bare skelleton (if you have one), and sculpt some GS ragged clothing. Maybe to point out that this war has been going on for quite a while, and that it's an ugly one.

well the idea about the skelleton is nice, wanted to do that for quite some time but not on this one here...

the exploded lasgun is really cool...this will see the daylight^^ so consider me working on the spot asap on that^^

at first i thought about that exploded cigar look for a damaged lasgun... but your idea is so much more logic...in a fierce battle the weapon overheats and then...kablam...end of guardsmans face and a nasty pice of plastic and metal formely known as lasgun standard issue^^
maybe if i do that i should have a badly dameged coprse of a guardsman lying around...

or just the arm/hand holding the melted/exploded lasgun. (or just some mangled fingers lying around.)
