This is an army focusing around descent of angels. Expect changes to come to my list as the Bay Area Open nears, as GK will be a major threat, as will any army that outnumbers and out assaults mine.... Im painting this up for the Bay Area Open in Antioch, CA. The link to the site can be found through bloodofkittens.com.

Week 1-2 I took rust stop in short burst coating the entire model with their darker red first, then spraying the light red. It takes longer than army panter sprays, so it dries to the touch in 5 hours and fully dries around 4 days after spraying. This gives me time to relax and do my homework.

Update: March 15 matte varnish spray test model has successfully dulled the shiny enamel. I will have a squad with mostly painted by week 3.
Update: 2 pm March 15: Mostly dry Enamel paint is perfect with foundation paints!!!! Smooth enamel vs primer actually makes it much easier to blend imo. Pics coming march 22 of entire army drybrushed for first highlihgt.

6:10 P.M I have playtested my army against my chaos and ork army and have realised the furioso and land raider drop pod combo is a very interesting combo, but would not work unless my entire army was already on the field, and I want to keep the list deep strike fluffy (and yes its a tourny list). With that said I have redone the list and pics of my progress and my new 1850 army will be posted week 3.

March 17 So I am stuck with a Science exam...gotta love college 16/ 42 models drybrushed 1st highlight on. Pictures posted tonight.

Update March 21 : I have found a technique that WILL BLOW YOUR MIND! Well, some of you anyway. Stay tuned week 4 to learn how to turn those coats of foundation paints into works of easy awesomeness.

March 27: Almost done painting my army chaplain. I have switched from drybrushing to spraying with the GW gun and then spraying an ink afterwards. More pics coming March 31. 4: March 31

Yup, thats the furioso librarian, the sword and armor from the arm was from the daemon prince box of my painted daemon prince.

The paint look a little bright (enamel) did you use an over the counter spray for that red?

Ya I used good ol' rust stop the high risk stuff if you never use over the counter. I used quick bursts instead of a stream of paint to keep the detail, and it takes forever to dry because Im tired of my paint getting scratched. I plan to matte varnish the whole army, so the shininess will be a good amount less upon completion.

This was all dry brushed in one day in 4 hours. I got hit with an exam march 23 for science(my weakest subject) So Im just going to post my progress today. The first highlight is always hardest to capture on figures.

So a lot of changes to my army :(. Land Raider dropped, furioso dropped, land speeder dropped, drop pod dropped. Upgraded a librarian to Dante, replaced one thss term with a lc sarge.......The final decison in my army now comes down to my sanguinary guard grey knights 4 infernus pistols and a powerfist or a 10 man assault squad with 2 flamers thss sarge.......I want to use the sanguinary guard troopers but the low numbers could cost me the games as I seem to draw horde and swarm armies as my opponents all the time.... although sanguinary guard they can take down big threats a lot easier.( tyranid leaders, other BA leaders with sanguinary priest close by)

Yea, mech angels/wolves are very common, usually a favorite in tournaments and very deadly at what they do, but the BA theme just isnt as fun an army with 6 preds that can run away before you assault them, with mephiston to counter charge and furisos in stormravens.....i like the idea of my whole army just arriving on a planet looking to make a base for the mech angels.

I just sold my legion of everblight army unpainted within the first 5 minutes of posting it on dakka through ebay for quick cash. Expect some major changes in my army as my dream DOA( descent of angels) army will be posted picures at the 6th week.

Okay this is the final update until the 31. I have finalized my list, checked for ways for it to excel, and I must say it will be very fun to play with (at least for me mwahahahahaha). So March 31 prepare for A MASSIVE TIDE OF BLOOD

MAGNETS AND BASING painting DONE now I can finally paint!

These magnets are slowed strong! I bought primal horizon magnets from my FLGS, one package of small magnets of 100 for 15 and one larger set for 15. So for $30 I only have to pack my army when travelling on a plane. (I got the display box from a large flat box top.)

I have finally returned from the void of having a girlfriend and will now resume the army, several months later lol

So, after returning after 6 months of a break I find out combat squads cannot deep strike as they have to be on the table to split up as explained at the beggining of the BA codex.. So with that rule in mind heres the list I will be painting :

Sanguinor
Librarian

2 honor guard squads with 4 plasma guns- 1 has chapter banner

5 Vanguard

4x 5 Assault Marines- thunder hammer storm shield meltagun

5 assault marines- storm shield meltagun
