Turn 1 (Me).
Mvt: Move everything up.
Magic phase: Cast Foot of Gork, but scrolled.
Shooting phase: Hit direct on the steg with Str 9, but roll a 1. Other rock lobba misfires.
Turn 1 (Him).
Mvt: Moves his stuff up.
Magic phase: Irrestistably gets off Comet right on my Black Orc unit. Puts a wound on each of his priests.
Shooting phase: Salamanders breathe on night goblins killing a couple, but misfires and eats some handlers.
Turn 2 (Me).
Mvt: 1 Boar Chariot on the left charges Skrox unit - makes it. Left 2 Wolf Chariots charge - take 3 wounds from a stand and shoot from the Skrox, lose a chariot and flees. 2 Wolf Chariots on the right charge into the Stegadon -make it. Farthest right wolf chariots fail charge into the Cold Ones, stopping 8 inches away. Move Night Goblin blocks forward and release fanatics - all stop 1-3" away from the Skrox unit and Salamanders.
Magic Phase: get off Foot of Gork again, but drifts off Saurus Spearmen block and only kills 4. Headbutt on the BSB dispelled. Comet comes down, killing the fanatics on the rigtht, wounding some salamanders, killing some night goblins and a Black Orc.
Shooting Phase: left Rock Lobba misfires again taking a wound. Right Rock Lobba hits his General, but was indirect so scatters off him.
Combat Phase: Left Boar Chariot kills some skinks, but gets destroyed in combat. Right Wolf Chariots wound the steg and kill all the crew - win combat and run the steg down.
Turn 2 (His):
Mvt: Charges his General on Carnosaur into the Trolls, both Saurus blocks fail charge into the Black Orcs. Cold One Cav fails its stupidity check and shuffles in front of Right Wolf chariots. Salamanders shift slightly to breathe down the Black Orcs flank.
Magic Phase: Tries for Comet, but doesn't get it.
Shooting Phase: Skinks on the far right take out a Wolf Chariot, but passes LD check. Salamanders kill 2 Black Orcs and put a wound on a troll, but misfire and eat their last handler. Left Skinks put 3 wounds on the left boar chariot.
Combat: His general & Carnosaur put 3 wounds on the trolls, saves all the return attacks. Trolls pass LD10 Steadfast.
Turn 3(Mine).
Mvt: Try and charge the Black Orcs into the Saurus Block in front of them, but roll double 1s for charge - fail. 2 Wolf Chariots on the right charge into the Cold One cavalry. Left Night Goblins charge through 2 fanatics and into the flank of the left saurus block. Right Night Goblins charge the salamanders in front of them. Unit of 1 Wolf Chariot on the left rallies.
Magic: 'Ere we go dispelled.
Shooting: Rock Lobba on the right scatters off the saurus block.
Combat: Left Night Goblins on the flank of the Saurus spearmen block win combat by 1, but he makes his LD check and reforms facing me. Trolls take 2 more wounds, but vomit on the general causing a wound - pass LD. Right Night Goblins lose to the salamanders but pass LD. Right Wolf Chariots kill all 5 Cold One Cavalry, but lose a chariot and he passes his LD.
Turn 3 (His).
Mvt: Skrox on the left fail charge against the Boar Chariot. Right Saurus Block charges into combat with the Black Orcs. Left Skinks march up next to the Boar Chariot - Right Skinks march up next to the single wolf chariot (that overran the Steg).
Magic: Nothing
Shooting: Blowpipes the left boar chariot but makes all his saves. Right Skinks wipe out the single wolf chariot.
Combat: Left Night Goblins lose to the Saurus Spearmen but steadfast. General and Carnosaur put 1 wound on a troll - 4 vomit attacks - all wound - fails 3 Ward Saves! Carnosaur gains hatred and frenzy (already). Black Orcs beat the Saurus block, run them down and stop about 2 inches from the flank of the other saurus block (fighting night goblins). Right Night Goblins beat salamanders but fail to run them down. Wolf Chariot locked up with Cold One Scar Vet dies.
Turn 4 (Mine).
Mvt: Left Boar Chariot charges the skinks - survives stand and shoot. Black Orcs charge into the flank of the remaining Saurus Block. Right Night Goblins charge the salamander, catching it.
Magic: Headbutts a Skink priest killing him.
Shooting: Rock Lobba on the right direct hits the Scar Vet on Cold One killing him. Left Lobba kills a couple Skrox skinks.
Combat: Boar chariot kills the skinks and overruns into the woods. Black Orc unit puts the saurus unit to a double 1 LD check - fails and Night Goblins run them down. Reform to face the rear of the Carnosaur. Trolls try and vomit on the carnosaur but don't do anything - tied combat.
Called it at this point.
Learning points - Rock Lobbas seem to have better synergy with this list than doom divers. Night Goblin fanatics make those huge blocks much better by preventing fast cav and skirmishers from running around them, as well as are more survivable than mangla squigs. Night Goblins 10 wide, 8 1/2 deep with netters are pretty damn good!
