This is my terrain project. I saw this wood puzzle kit at Micheals for 60 cents. So I bought it, I had no clue if it was the right scale or not.
So far I have assembled and stained it. Glued literaly sticks for window trim. I plan to use the larger sticks to the right as log doors front and side. And hang the shield on the left wall. The Fire Warrior is there for scale.
Would the windows look better with shutters? and whats a good roof style thatch?

Ill throw up a couple step photos.
Baseing, its just sitting on that foam board. Any thoughts what if I should do a larger base with a field or a pen?
Or sense they are so cheap get like 8 of them and put a village square in the middle of full village? I have my own table at my house by the way.
Thanks for any advice.

Session 2:
So I went with a irregular pan tile roof that i will paint red. I glued them to card and taped it for now(for ease of painting). I think it got a little out of hand with it. Got the first section up
2 Log doors
Chimney stack is a tac. will be painted black
Shield (maybe the most expensive piece)

I think a whole village would be good especially if you did a nice centre piece like a town hall/well/church/gibbet but if your planning to knock up a load of them, why not do one with a small field? You can always have it at the outskirts of the village.

A little tip to help with the roofing: Glue it to card then paint then attach to roof.

60 cents is a billy bargain!
Agree about the shutters and thatch btw.

Scale is not bad at all.
Certainly looks okay from the pics.

good find!

Finland... the country next to Sweden? No! That's Norway! Finland is to the east! No! That's Russia!

Better than most of the terrain I have seen, It's nice to see some people actually work on terrain. Keep up the good work!

Sweet Jesus, Nurgle and Slaanesh in the same box!?
No, just Nurgle and Slaanesh, Jesus will be sold seperately in a blister.

I like it! I would paint the walls like Adobe and the tiles terracotta like a certain Abbey bult in a time when white dwarf actually had scratchbuild terrain articles.
