They will both probably be part of a small detachment of Imperial Fists, had bits laying around and couldn't help myself, saw another one here though, not my idea...

You sir just made a lame ride awesome. The Jeep though looks a bit high. It does give me the idea of converting a buggy out of a landspeeder for Orks though.

Also, I noticed the paint on the wheels changed postions. Did you add axles to the wheels too?

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

Am I the only person who thinks that this looks like a warthog?

Personally, I want to make a storm into a buggy - that could look cool...

The original WD artical was based upon the Halo Warthogs.

In fact, they went so far as to attempt to recreate the vehicle as it was in the Halo games... Not sure if GW or the author of the article expressly stated this, but you know what they were doing (if you hadnt been living in a cave).

They even gave it the Ass Cannon/Heavy Bolter fitout.

If you think that one is high, you should see the Jeep in the driveway! My Daughter uses a stirrup on a 3 foot strap hanging down from the seat to get in it. And yes, the axles turn, brass rod inside brass tubing.

Had to look up a warthog- neever played Halo, really cool.

I really like the model. Also Into the marine on the "segway." Is that a count as for a marine bike?

I want so bad to make one just like it but does everyone use for wheels? I was thinking of buying a Jeep or Truck model for the drivetrain but $20 just to scrap it doesn’t justify it.

You could probably buy the wheels from the Ork Trukk kit from a bitz service for a reasonable price.

Nice job, like the land speeder turned jeep/combat dune buggy. OMG - a combat segway.

I remember that. For the record though, I'm pretty sure Clouseau did this conversion before Halo came out.

Somewhere in south-central England.

I've seen an IG Segway on Dakka somewhere.

If you are looking for wheels there are plenty of wooden and plastic variations online however they tend to be "realistic" and not so good for 40K models. Also they are mostly larger than you would need for a jeep.

Your best bet is to go to Poundstretcher or US equivalent and buy some cheapo Chinese diecast models just for the wheels.

Monster trucks and things like that, I mean.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...
