Same here, not looking forward to all those boxes and all those kits showing up. I'm going to need a lot of primer and magnets.

No magnets for me - there are way too many little parts for that to be feasible. Even shoulders would be tough.

I'm just going to magnetize the heads, nothing else. I'm ambitious, not full of energy and spare time.

- Twilight Knight
- White Speaker
- Dragon Sacrifice

Now that it's going to ship, I realize I may have bitten off more than I can chew, at least for the immediate future. But I'm not planning to sell. Nope.

You're missing a few others:

Dung Beetle Knight
Lion God
Lantern Festival
Lonely Tree
Slender Man

As I'm only really going to be playing this solo, my plan is to leave it all set up in my office and build/paint each model as it is needed, with the armour kits being used for those who have fallen. This may mean it may take some time to get to the bigger beasts...

I'd taken some time off work for Fallout 4. I suspect it will turn out to be KD:M week instead!

"missing?"

Nah, I'm not *that* much of a completist.

I wavered back and forth over the other expansions, but ultimately decided against them. I unashamedly skew toward big toys over little toys, and the big monsters in the major expansions were more my taste. Nevertheless, I almost got the Dung Beetle Knight, but ultimately felt that the style of the Flower Knight and Lion Knight were more my taste.

I *think* I picked up everything with game content... but it has been so long I can't remember. This should be a nice, if rather large, parcel

Looks like it's split shipping with the expansions shipping later

Creator Kingdom Death about 1 hour ago

Upcoming shipment is everything except expansions. Those are still in print and assembly. Tho the miniature production for them as been finished since feb 2015. I am happy with the factories we worked with, however in the future I can say I'll have a much better idea of what a "factories-timeline" actually looks like. Being that this is my first mass production product (and that its bigger and heavier then any similar game on the market) I shouldn't have taken the initial time estimates at face value. I am of course responsible in the end, I just thought some of you might like to know. No big deal!

It seems it might actually be cheaper to split the orders

Creator Kingdom Death about 1 hour ago

... I honestly wish we could group them. But the box dimension and weight of a typical order took it to FREIGHT class shipping! hahahaha Its just not possible!

Split shipping? Well, no big loss I suppose, it's going to take some time to get through the core contents as is.

Makes sense, but I wonder how far behind all the expansions will be?

On one hand, that's a shame. On the other hand it gives us a chance to play the main box a bit before drowning in expansion cards.

Speaking of, I wonder if the expansion cards come with extra dividers for the box?

So the delivery might be a couple waves? Oh noes, whatever shall I do? Oh wait, The Game has a ton of content to work on that'll keep me busy for a long time, no problem. I'm just glad that stuff will be shipping and that it looks to be the amazingly awesome boutique game that I backed.

As for the 17 lbs of KD:M being "bigger and heavier than any similar game on the market", I'm assuming this is only because the 28 lbs of Ogre DE is not similar or off market.

From a quick look at SJG's store, it appears they are sold out.

Considering that SJG probably took a loss on the product, and likely can't muster up another production run, I'm pretty sure Ogre DE won't be back on the market in the foreseeable future.

I'm sure it wouldn't be the worst (best?) pledge here on Dakka. The only expansion not coming my way is the Flower Knight.

Getting the base game will be fantastic and I hope it makes the wait for the Dragon King and Green Knight armor more bearable, not less. Which, actually, I just remembered I need the Flower Knight to craft. So, yeah.

ok this might of been answered before but on the kickstarter page "Death: Monster is a cooperative tabletop miniatures game for 1-6 players. Set in a unique nightmarish world devoid of most natural resources, you control a settlement at the dawn of its existence. Fight monsters, craft weapons and gear, and develop your settlement to ensure your survival from generation to generation" and i was reading through the contents on the main page and it only ships with 4 gear grids 4 survivors so is the kickstarter page wrong ? and the game is only 1-4 ?

Adam has previously stated that the game can be played with up to 6 players, but it is optimized for 4 players. Not every player needs a Gear Grid, they are mostly to give you a neater way to organize your Gear. Also, the game comes with enough models for all 6 players to be able to play even though there are only the 4 starting Survivors.

Indeed. There are some other things that stood out too. Like the 1k+ cards we're getting and the 17 sprues of miniatures (including over 150 pieces of gear).

I'm not looking forward to putting sleeves on that many cards. In fact, I'm not sure I will.

What's wierd is that each set makes 4 models, even though there are bitz for easily twice that. If only he had included an extra male & female torso on each sprue, rather than duplicate weapons, to support the 6-players on the box... Oh, well. Not that I'll be short of models with all the stuff I ordered.

It is but some (a lot?) of that is art:

224 Page Rulebook, 17 Hard Plastic Sprues of Miniatures, 1000+ Matte Game Cards, 400+ Unique pieces of Art and 86 Full Page Illustrations.

Not that that won't be nice to see (maybe? it could be rather...disturbing/horrific too!) though...
