Hello,
I am painting a a friends tank, a Leman Russ, and wanted to know what kind of fun names to come up with for it, I really dont want any of the "Latin-Gothic" names so I was thinking more of the names like bombers were give. So send me a fe and I will pick one and put it on the tank, I will also post the pic of the tank when it is done.

I have a Valk, Thats has on of the vahallen tank riders on it, sitting in the door way, and On the nose art, I have chilly Willy tha pengiun, and Of course thats the name of the Valk

Depends on which way you want to go. For more serious names, I like to use the names of weapons which belonged to mythical or historical people:

Durandal
Joyeuse
Gae Bolg
Balmung

Or if you want to have a funny name (these aren't mine, have seen them around the internet):

Overbudget
Birth Control
Corporal Punishment
Tax Dollars at Work

Or you could just give it a girl's name. Can't go wrong there. I like Penelope.

In real tank companies, tanks were sometimes given names beginning with the letter of the company they belong to. According to the book Tank Sergeant based on Vietnam for example the three A company tanks were named Apostle, Ape, and A-Go-Go
Nothing wrong with a funny name though, how about "Gentle Persuasion" for a Leman Russ?

It would help to know which army he is running. Cadian, catachian, other races of imperials. Then also what paint theme it is going. As both of these play into what name it should take.

aka a black tank would be something like Black Death (just an example not a suggestion lol)

Hello All,
Please keep them coming, as for the paint job it is a attached tank company to Catchcans. The main color is battleship grey with blue and white stripes as unit identitification at the nose. The weathing is alot of rust at the bottom and near the front with minor rust on the turret, with the weapons kept pretty much pristine, (they know that the business end is for).
