My Ork army has been something that I have slowly been putting together over the past year or so. I have finally had a chance to start painting and I thought I would put up the mostly finished front of my Battlewagon. My army is a Bloodaxe theme that I am doing in dark green with White stars kinda like old Army vehicles. I am going for a very beat up appearance, and my Nob squad riding inside all have military hats <no paint on most of them though!>
Thanks for having a look

More pics please!
I like the rust a lot. I suggest also adding a few spots of bare metal where edges would scrape against other things, e.g. that armoured prow.

That looks fantastic friend, I too have a bloodaxe clan and I have painted my vehicles in a british military style and have a lot of my Bhoys wearing military headwear, I reckon we should form an alliance in the name of MORK or possibly GORK.

Thanks much. I have some earth colored weathering powders on the way, so after that and a bit of sponging with metalics I should be getting close to being done.... oh and the gretchin that I plan to put in the gunner seat! I will post more pictures when I get to that point. After this I have 9 Kans, a Dread and a bunch of biker nobs to include the forge world ones to paint up. This battlewagon is sort of a test subject before I jump into the rest. I have a new kid at home, so I don't get a lot of time to paint, but I will be chipping away.
I appreciate the comments, I overdid the weathering at first I think, but I feel like I have found a balance that I like, it is always nice to hear that someone else approves as well.

Overdid the weathering? For an ork vehicle, this is pristine! The weathering is ever somewhat uneven, perhaps, but I wouldn't say overdone. Even with some added metallic chipping and pigment dusting on the lower areas, I think you'll be in good shape.
