SO my friends and I are building and buying our armies for a 165,000 point Apocalypse game later this year. We need about 2,400 Ork Boys, 600 'ard boys, 200 warbikes, 100 warbiker nobz, 300 nobz, 100 meganobz, 66 killa kans, and a host of other models as well as 12 Stompas if people are willing to get rid of them

For the Space Marines we need 700 Tactical Marines, 400 Assault Marines, 30 predators Autocannon w/ Lascannon Sponsons, 12 Baal Pred Either turrents but Heavy Bolter sponsons, 5 Whirlwinds, any Warhounds Titans, Reaver Titans, and Thunderhawk Gunships people wish to get rid of.

We are looking at well made scratchbuilt versions of the titans, stompas, and thunderhawks.

@ LooksInfected - have you ever been on a tour of a carrier? man they have all kinds of room on the flight decks, and if there are enough people involved in the game, they can setup and run it all in one day, ok well, that may be a tad over stated, but it can be done in one weekend.

I will be video taping the battle in its entirety. Not only that I will have a slide show for the most memorable parts that will likely involve multiple parts and will be posted on Youtube.

We will be using the barracks back in Lemoore CA, the table set up includes 1 8'x8' board connected by 2 boards running at an angle to form a boxy ended Y, one of the 2 boards will be 8'x 4' and the other will be 8'x3'. The Space Marines will be defending against the orcs being manipulated by Dark Eldar and possibly Chaos.

The 2 diffrent sized tables that connect to the 8' box table will be where the orks come from, They will be using the infinite numbers rules for their "Da Green Tide" and Stompas (T_T) There will be a highway and city surrounding the 2 tables. The 8'x3' will have a highway about 8"-10" wide and the 8'x4' will have a 18"-20" Highway. As stated there will be city surrounding the highways and leading up to the fortress. There will be an invisible ocean on one most open side of the wider table and the rest is surrounded by mountain.

There will be a surprise visit from Tyranids with 1-2 Bio-Titans and 3-4 Heirodules (>.&gt

There will be a Fortress that is the defended point. I will be commanding my Blood Falcons which are the Blood Angels which will defened the smaller board. and I plan on using 2 Thunderhawk Gunships (if possible due to the price I will likely only get 1 from forgeworld), 2 Warhounds, and a single Reaver titan. I will have about 400 models and be commanding the smaller of the 3 groups but that is made up by sheer weight of firepower from my Armoured units including a Custom Baal Predator that was created for this very game. They are like normal Baal Preds but get the use of Plasma Cannon Sponsons that replace the Heavy Flamers.

My friend is commanding a Chapter that has just been freed from a vicious warpstorm that had cut them off from the Imperium since the days of the Horus Heresy. They are from the 2nd Legion and are named the Terra Wolves. As some more historic fanatics will note the 2nd Legion was one of the few legions that were disbanded prior to the Horus Heresy, see First Herict for further enlightment.

My other friend will be commanding the Vulkan's Dragons which is a friendly Chapter towards my own.

As it stands this game will likely go on for 10 turns in which we as the defenders will have to hold out and protect the Fortress.

All i can say is - MAN, I wished I could be in Cali in 6 months, but that's not gonna happen. I am highly anticipating seeing the blogs and threads from this battle already.

@SebastianSynn: I expect this to garner alot of attention since my firned is setting it up and I am over here making it fun for all. So far he is the Zeal for this entire project and I just make sure to temper it. It will be climatic. There will be a very indepth bat rep that will likely take a few pages to work on and about a month to do so. Hopefully I will have the time before the next deployment later this year. . .

I hope my discription of the battle was decent enough. The battle is going to be immense and I am hopping for it to be a little like Rynn's World storyfrom Black Library. Not so one sided of cource but the Orks are getting some kustom vehicles like the C-1 Pain Supa Landa (super heavy Flyer Transport) which carries 102 Orks big enough for a bare minimum "Da Green Tide" and the Supa Sinka which is a super Heavy Tunneler that carries 50 orks. with a TON of skorcha fire power! Lots of model building will sommence in a few months!

I'd love it if you started a second thread for this project somewhere (there's so much more to discuss and say than can fit in Swap Shop - maybe 40K General Discussions? What would the right thread be for ongoing projects like this?). And I think you'll find that lots of Dakkites will have input if you want it plus will get lots of inspiration also.

My Aplogies on a late replay to this thread, we are still in need of all the models listed I have been busy due to a shift change and the lack of internet due to being on an Aircraft Carrier.
