Hi, Max.

Just curious: can you special order from EM4's metal miniature ranges? Their Space Lords line has great sci-fi beast men (the Phagons,) not-Mechanics types, and not-Rogue Trader civilians, and their Horror line has some classic Lovecraft monster sculpts. (Their Proto-Shoggoths, Byakhees, and Servitors of the Outer Gods are particularly good.) For the curious, EM4's metal miniatures run small, more in the realm of 25mm pushing 28mm than 28mm pushing 32mm.

If you can special order their metal minis, you'd be doing US customers a real service. EM4's pricing on their metal miniatures is, like their plastics, very reasonable, but their international shipping charges aren't as inviting.

I can order everything but items in "The Vault". So yes that includes the metal ranges. I was going to put them up, starting with the ludus gladiatorius minis, for special order.

And to clarify, they would be able to be special ordered for this upcoming special order deadline on the 5th july.

Along with the scouts out ww1 bosnian patrol and all the mantic july northern alliance preorders.

I can personally vouch for the Ludus Gladitorius minis from EM4. Great sculpts and they're a little closer to 28 Heroic scale.

Did you know that McDougall designs carries Warlord Games products? Did you know that I can special order the majority of their plastic ranges.

World war games manufacturers and distributes a vast array of historical Miniatures covering plenty of different periods in history.

If you are looking for a historical fix for your miniature wargaming needs I highly recommend their rulesets (such as hail Caesar and black powder) as well as the ranges they sell.

Link above is to their collection page on my store. IF you do not see the Miniatures you need in that small selection please email me and I can put them on the special order list for this upcoming fifth of July.

Remember that all orders this month until the 5th of July qualify for the 5% off the order total for the summer sale. You also get points towards loyalty rewards for each order and free shipping starts at $100 or more in order value for US based customers.

I will be placing order to for warlord games, frostgrave and oathmark, and perry Miniatures products during this special order period.

Email mcdougalldesigns3d@gmail.com if you have any questions, and happy historical gaming!

Do you stock (or special order) other products like rulebooks, or is it just the miniatures? Specifically the SAGA rules and accessories from Gripping Beast, but the question could be equally valid for Bolt Action, Hail Caesar, etc.

I can get all the warlord rulebooks. I'll have to check saga rulebooks but I know I can get the plastics.

Also:

To all those awaiting Victrix Miniatures to make it to the McDougall Designs webstore I have disappointing news.

Due to the owner (Maxwell Mcdougall) providing historical research services for Wargames Atlantic , victrix has chosen to deny Mcdougall Designs's request to open a trade account.

Kind regards and happy gaming,

Shame. That would have definitely made it easier to purchase their kits.

They already do. Their historical minis are smaller than than Warlord's Hail Caesar line.

As for grudges, I wonder if they are still going through with their lawsuit against WGA for "stealing" Late Roman era Roman infantry. An IP which is wholly in the public domain.

Unrelated question: em4 used to have plastic fighters that were originally produced for Silent Death. I see on their website they are OoS. Do you know if they will come back in stock, or are they out of production?

Which Warlord and Victrix minis do you have? The Warlord Romans I have (from maybe 15 years ago) are teeny, and the Victrix minis, mostly Carthaginians and their allies, are all the size of WGA minis, but with slightly more heroic scale heads.

Warlord Macedonians and Victrix Classical Greek archers and slingers. The Victrix are just a little shorter than the Warlord minis, but are skinny and frail looking in comparison. Don't know when the minis were sculpted, but I bought them in 2016-7.

Apparently Warlord like the chunky look with their historicals. I understand it’s due to the early prominence of Wargames Foundry, but it’s a look I dislike.

I will check on your EM4 question and get back to you.

https://mcdougalldesigns3d.com/blogs/news/mantic-games-preorders-august-part-1-firefight

I wrote up my usual blog post for august preorders from mantic games.

A lot of potential for various sci fi gaming here: hard plastic tanks, half-tracks with mortars, command and control fliers, and several 2 player starter sets.

If you are looking to build up an armored company for 40k or some other sci fi game, that archon tank deal is a killer savings.

The other vehicles are all generally solid and have some good utility in terms of parts. The added bits like the command array on the enforcer flier look nice too.

There's also the two player sets. Of these, I think I prefer the vyr-myn vs forgefathers personally. lots of bodies, lots of conversion potential. The Vyrm myn with head swaps could make good mutant cultists and the tunneler tank is useful for a variety of gaming and terrain projects.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
@Ancestral hamster: if you were speaking of the spacecraft, yes these are temporarily out of stock as the mold was misplaced during a warehouse shuffle but has been found.

I can take special orders however EM4 has not given me a timeline for stock to be available yet.

The British are coming!
After a slight delay, preorders are now live for the Wargames Atlantic WW1 british (1916-1918).
Full boxed sets and single, a-la-carte, sprues are available.
https://mcdougalldesigns3d.com/collections/pre-orders
See the preorder collection link above for individual listings and to check out other great preorder products.
While the full boxed set is great for those building up large wargaming armies, the single sprue option is an amazing value all its own.
With 6 models on the frame, you can make a decently sized squad for games of Scouts Out: Raids and Reconnaissance in 1914-1918, or have enough bodies to convert for Weird-War one games and other skirmish level options.

The EM4 Gladiators for Ludus Gladitorious are excellent models. They're decent sized and very well sculpted for a $4 model.

I highly recommend them for all your arena fighting needs.

Lovely paintwork, and a good size comparison. Whats the medieval figure on to the right?

The next special-order date is 08-09-23 at 11:59am, just before noon.

This notice is so that my customers can plan potential special-order purchases with enough time.

I can special order most manufacturers, however I have trade relationships with Wargames Atlantic, Mantic Games, Warlord games (Hail Caesar, Black powder, bolt action, etc.) Scouts out WW1 skirmish figures, and Em4 miniatures.

Mantic Games products are discounted 20% for regular catalog items and 10% for Mantic Direct items. Other manufacturers will be discounted as is possible. These discounts also apply to preorder items.

All special orders will receive customer loyalty reward points towards discount vouchers, and my free shipping thresholds are in effect. $100 in order value or larger for US based orders, and $200 or larger for RoW except EU.

This is also the best time to take advantage of preorder options. Mantic games have plenty of Sci-fi goodness on offer for August, with a massive update to their Firefight line, including multiple starter sets, force sets, and vehicle packs. If you are feeling more historical in your hobby goals Wargames Atlantic WW1 British are up for preorder as full boxes or individual sprues. Finally, EM4 is coming to the store in force, with both fantasy plastics and metal gladiators on preorder and shipping very soon.

that tank group and the bottom air group look really great... I would love to get both for my damned which i am thinking will have Bulldog heads and be loyalists... but that said my money is currently tied up on the Damned (flex pay) as well as possibly adding more with the pledge manager opening soon... but i may look into the vehicles with you later on...

the air transports in that last set. Do they both come with all the same parts? The picture shows one without the transport/cargo part so was just wondering.$80 for either of those sets is a great deal.

I would imagine they'd have all the same parts, as the Hornet kit comes with the removable transport section as standard. The photo is most likely to show how you can alternately assemble the kit.

When I use mine in my comic, I swap out the landing skids or remove the transport section as needed for the appropriate scene.

I believe KidCuthulu has the right of it, and its just to show alternate assembly. From what I recall of building the single hornet I've done, the cargo/troop compartment was an separate piece that you didn't necessarily need to put on.

Hello all,

My stock order at eM4 Miniatures was placed on July 10th, as is usual with my stock requests for most manufacturers.

On July 13th I received an email stating they were casting parts of my order.

My contact at the company stated it would be shipped shortly when I followed up with them about said email.

I expected a roughly 2 week window on receipt of shipment, since this would be arriving from the UK.

It is now July 26th, my order has not yet arrived, and an attempt to reach out to EM4 has been met with an email stating they are out of office until August 10th.

I will keep you all updated as to this situation and when my stock arrives.

Thank you for your business and your patience.

No problem.

This was charlie from EM4's response fyi

Hi everyone, Charlie from eM4 here

Apologies to Max and everyone, we used a new shipping agent which didn't integrate with our shopping cart.
The order was shipped last week is due for delivery Wed 2nd August

As a small family business, to keep product cost down, we may make some products to order, so this delayed things slightly.

But our main sin is that we did not communicate this very well, we will make sure communications are improved going forward.

Apologies for this, we love Max and want to support him and the US gamers, so we will continue to do better and grow more efficient.

Happy gaming everyone!

It's Wargames Atlantic restock day. Everything that can be restocked has been restocked. I'm still waiting on a few other kits such as the conquistadors to come back into stock with the manufacturer though.

If you have any outstanding orders with War Games Atlantic items they will be filled tonight and shipped first thing in the morning.

eM4 Miniatures has also arrived. This includes the gladiator metals and the fantasy plastics, as well as the combat zone boxed set. The combat zone box set has proved popular so I am working with em4 to secure more sets.

And remember if you need anything from any other manufacturer I am currently running special orders with the due date being the 9th at 11:59 a.m. just before noon.

Have a great day everyone and happy gaming,
