Here's my latest project, a 2000 points BA mechanized army. From start to finish, the whole army took 3 days to paint.

Holy 3 days!? That's incredible. Beautiful weathering and battle damage (I assume?) on those vehicles! Still mesmerized that it only took you 3 days with that many vehicles. I'm guessing you used a spray for the red on the vehicles because the thought of handpainting all those layers of red would kill me! Great work!

Very fine work. Although I have to say the second Librarian Dread should have been converted. Wasted to see the too look the same.
Very impressive speed.

3 days? I hate you.

Guessing there was quite a lot of airbrushing going on.

Airbrushing sure saves a lot of time on painting those tanks and this kind of weathering.

Day One is primer and airbrushing everything,

Day two is doing all colors ( Turquoise, Gold, Silver Black ) and all highlights

Day three is Washes and Basing, plus all touch ups.

Day 2 is a very painfull day indeed.

@ Oppl: Tanks were half primed with army painters' Pure red, the can / user had a malfunction with it and it came out pink ( bright pink ) on the other half. At this point he gave up on painting the army and send them to me.

@ Dark Scipio: Yeah, there are slight differences between them, but they were last minute additions to the army to bump the original 1500 army to 2000 points for a tournament. He bought both of them and a secondhand vindi the day before I started painting.

Can you please explain to me in however much detail you can (im a noob) how exactly did you airbush to get the color to come out like that? Black primer? What color primer? What color red? What steps of red color layers did you use? How did you do tour weathering?

I'm very impressed and would like my red to come out similar

This was actually my first try at this kind of weathering. To achieve this:

Tanks:

-Start on a white primer. Airbrush everything in multiple thin coats of blood red unitl everything is red with no white showing through.

-Airbrush chaos black over the parts you want weathered. This is a serious test of your airbrush-fu skillz. If you fail at first, second and third times, you're still doing great. There really is a learning curve before truly getting it ( and I'm not completly there yet believe me )

- Airbrush mid-tone Brown ( I don't remember which it was, but probably GW Bestial Brown ) around the black parts to smoothe transition between the black and the red.

Guns are done in the same fashion, only with very little red.

Infantry was done with a basecoat of GW Scab Red and a highlight of GW Blood Red.
