I worked on painting this guy while I was playing the Dawn of War expansion featuring the Necrons. I liked how the Crons has an energy bleed through their armor plates so I tried to mimic it. I don't know how successful I was but I am pretty pleased with my Spyder. I don't know how I am going to base him yet. A standard flight base is too short since I changed the angle and lengthened his arms.

Great job! Personally I would have the stereotypical Necron landscape as the ground for the base (small greyish stones everywhere), with scarabs scuttering around.

I need to get a rod strong enough and long enough to hold him up. Then I will probably go with something similar to my Crystal Walker unit. I wonder if there is a space marine molded to look like he is trying to crawl away.
