Easley SC

1) Warriors of Chaos (Khorne, Not going to Semi-Finals)
2) Lizardmen (Light Slann. Me)
3) Warriors of Chaos (Nurgle)
4) Orcs and Goblins (Savage)

All in we had a pretty good show for our area, being that people have just started playing Fantasy around here.

In determines of highlights, my slann dimensional cascaded on turn one, wiping himself and his unit of Temple Guard out in one fell swoop, but that what's happens when there are no wizards to use Cupped Hands of the Old Gods on.

We also had some major game changing lightning strikes in round three, that wiped out a couple units of chaos knights and our Orcs and Golbins players horde of spear chuckas wiped a number of smaller Chaos Warriors. In terms of our 'Ard Boyz those are all the big Highlights I can think of.

The Basement KCMO

1. Tomb Kings (me)
2. Dwarves
3. Empire
4. vampire counts


Round 1: I faced vampire counts. When the sun came up all that remained was one unit of knights and 2 units of zombie and all were crumbling fast. (massacre for tomb kings)

Round 2: Against a nasty Empire List with 4 great cannons and 2 morters. He went first and shooting killed one of my 3 catapults and did 2 wounds to the Casket of souls. However, my return fire killed 2 cannons and caused 2 units of handgunners to flee off the board. In the end the final blow was struck when a scoprion killing blowed his general and my unit of chariots with the blood soaked choppa ran through his swordsman and their arch lector. (massacre for Tomb Kings)

Round 3: Against Dwarves. Your army is set up okay mine to. My turn 1 is done, your turn 1 is done. We did this to auto draw the game no one held portal. (p.s. dumb scenario gw!)

1st: High Elves.


Teclis Bunkered in 40 pheonix guard with the Dragon banner and 4 nobles with a full command, so Teclis was immune to magic and in the 2nd rank, fire out spells like crazy.


2nd: Warriors of Chaos. (Me.)

Nurgle heavy spamming 4 Chaos Sorcerors of Nurgle, Skull of Katam, and one sorceror at lvl 4. Eliminated characters quick and early and used beefy blocks of khorne to eat up leaderless units. Lost out vs. the magic immune Teclis list.


3rd: Orcs and Goblins

Lotsa Orcs and squigs, plus a giant.



Round 1 vs Trollstar Warrios (Minor victory)

Played a Throgg list with 12 trolls and 3 hellcannons. Got lucky and he never rolled Thzzzz! Sniped out the cannons and his lvl4 of Tzeenth, then a killed Throgg and broke trolls by dropping their T to 1 with Miasma. Warshrine solo'ed his lvl 4 Daemon Prince.


Round 2 vs Orcs (Massacre)

Buboes sniped out all 4 characters in his list and killed all his dudes with my dudes. Marauders with blood soaked choppa, flails, frenzy, and +1 attack from a warshrine was 40 Str 6 attacks. Nasty!


Round 3 vs Elves (Major Loss)

Teclis was immune to Nurgle, so I had problems right away. Lightning autokilled a warshrine and took 6 warriors from every unit. Twice. Then I spent two turns stuck still because of the Flood result that halves movement and charge bonus. Teclis just threw meteors and blew me off the objective in the middle with Gust of Wind.

Games 'n' Stuff, Glen Burnie, MD

1. Daemons (Scooter) - Kairos, Masque, 3 x flamers, bloodletter horde, skulltaker, horrors w/ heroes
2. High Elves - 2 x deathstars (~60 strong) with Teclis
3. Daemons - 3 x deathstars, All Khorne (2 of bloodletters, 1 of flesh hounds)
Tie for 3rd - Friendly(ish) VC - lots of characters, grave guard, 2 x ghouls, 2 x skeletons, 4 x corpse carts

I didn't place, but I had some great games and enjoyed it a lot. Last game got a little heated since it was for placement and it was getting late. But overall, a great time.

I wanted to make it up to mikhaila's store to try again today, but I was just too worn out. Hope to hear how people do up there today!

UYou can use cupped hands even if you dont bounce it.

1. Daemons (Fate weaver 3x30 bloodletters, 2x10fleshhounds, 6khorne juggernought things)
2. Empire(me unfortunately cant make it to round 2 due to baby being born around the same time) grand master 15 knights, popemobile couple hordes of halberds, check the army list postings to see in more detail
3. Dwarfs bunch of warmachines a "lordpedo"(general with shield bearers and 10 hammerers stacked behind him)
4. chaos mix of marks on 4 blocks of warriors couple units of chaos knights and a block of chosen

round 1 up against chaos
my outriders roll lucky and wipe a unit of chaos knights the 1st turn, popemobile locks down a unit of warriors and tanks till game end, my knights sandwich the block of chosen over 2 turns(not having taken gw on my knights the extra save made a huge difference throughout the tournament) my mortars scattered into close combat(to my advantage lost some halberds but took some khorne warriors w/ ehw out to let the halberds finish them off before they were wiped by a flanking unit of warriors[my target w/mortars]) overall won the game great fun

round 2 daemons (had a feeling i would have to face them)
turn 2 he charges with everything and failed all charges, i charge everything back and fail 2 blocks of 40 halberds which would cost me dearly, popemobile tank got busted by a killing blow in its second round of combat, knights got beat down by bloodletters(lost combat by small amount and epic fail leadership)

round 3 dwarfs hooray lighting storm, although it took some of my smaller units out a large portion of his warmachines were out of commision, started with really bad dice rolling then a complete turn around for turns 3 and 4 (where it really made the differance)

all in all i wasnt expecting to place just a good time to play some larger battles, hope next year to place again and see how well i can do in the semi finals since i wont be able to make it
