Since Warmachine recently got the regognition it deserves on Dakka. I thought I'd bring up the FoW topic again.

So does FoW /15mm WWII require or justify a seperate section? Is there any desire to see that amongst Dakkaites?

Not big enough yet, but since it is my main interest, you dont need to worry - as soon as it gets critical mass it gets a dedicated area.

Ok. It'd be interesting to see how much member support this has.

How has Warmachine done out of the increased exposure?

Small but steady increase in traffic. Need to give it about 6 months to get proper data though.

I'd really appreciate, as would the rest of the FOW players. I would say that it is very likely that if you get dedicated FOW section. That traffic would increase.

Sorry for the necro but I thought it justified. If only to find out what the Warmachine data is.

Conciser this my +1 for a dedicated FoW section.

It has been building quite quickly but is still not quite at the level which would justify it. I'm a FoW player so believe me, I'll add it as soon as it is warranted.

Sorry if this comes across as pedantic but are you saying that FoW attracts less traffic than Epic and Warmaster? /genuine question

PS How's Warmachine looking?

PPS hopefully you'll allow this thread to continue as other FoW enthusiasts decide to register their support here.

While FoW does qualify for a single forum (splitting historicals), cutting up all historicals into a full section like warmachine would be the best way to go and is what I am waiting for. Warmachine has been doing very well, and I expect FoW to do similarly once it gets to the sort of level that warranted the split with warmachine's forum.

I actually think coinciding with the release of the V3 rules would be a good time to split this forum off.

I too have dropped my GW games in preference of this FoW.

I think the difference might be that there is the BF forums, which has more negativity than the FoW sub section here, but also the excellent WWPD forum. I know for me, I have a hard time trying to hit all the various forums for my daily fix of work-dodging-FoW-reading

I guess I should post in the FoW section here more, and add pics of my stuff. Would people mind if I shamelessly link to our local groups blog, much in the way DirtyJon does for the FoW content? because I'll do it, I have no shame, I'm a tea-drinking Brit player deep down

I support this, we are drowning out the other Historicals, plus we are quite a civil bunch, not much moderating need in the FOW forum.

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!

Also throwing my vote in for this, its redicuously hard to talk about something NOT FOW in the historicals section..

I support it as well. If you go into Flames of War and Other Historical Games, you can see that at least 80% are flames of war related threads. So why not just split the forum and make life easier for everyone?

Traffic is still not significant enough to justify the split at the moment. I'm locking this now due to the continued bumps to the answered question. I monitor the statistics fairly closely as I want a split forum as soon as it is worthwhile, but it is not yet.
