So I've been wanting to make a space marine army so I have the option of experimenting with all the different marine armies. This is the color scheme I have so far and I'm thinking of naming them "Patriarchs of the Kraken" let me know what you guys think.

Whats their fluff going to be based on? Are they Dark Angel successor?
Imperial Fist successor?
Raven Guard Successor?
Ultramarines Successor?
White Scars?
Iron Hands?
Blood Angels?

Other than that i look foward to your ideas.

I'm thinking of Imperial fists. I like their fluff story wise. I still need to decide what kind of army I want to run that may effect the decision but I'll have to thin up some fluff.

I look forward to seeing this scheme on an actual model.

Yeah I'm going to try and throw together a few marines after finals, as you can tell from my eldar I need to learn how to properly photograph miniatures then I'll get some pictures up.

Key to success in writing this type of fluff is looking for examples most notably the Black Libarary series on the Black Templar or Crimson fist are a great starter to start writing good fluff for your force.

Imperial Fists are a great choice not many people play them though, but this chapter as a successor is awesome.

Yeah I thought about doing all imperial fists I don't see much yellow across the board so I thought I"d mix it up. I plugged these colors into DOW2 and liked the feel of it, not to mention I already own the paints.
I've read the first few heresy book I'll have to do some digging through those other books and see what I can whip up.

I will try to get a better picture up. It's finals so I only had twenty or thirty minutes to paint him up but here's a prototype.
